魚の中を開いてみるとプラスティックゴミで一杯の画像を見たことのない人はいないかもしれない。海洋生物はエサと勘違いしてそれらを間違って食べるのだが消化されることはない。またゴミは美観を損なうと同時に異臭を放つ。その問題を克服するためにボランティア団体が複数ある。参加してみてもいい。
