“ウタヨミビト”の10thシングル『椛の葉』は、「万葉集」で数多く詠まれ、日本の晩秋～初冬を鮮やかな色で染め上げる“モミジ”の和歌をモチーフに現代語訳し、巧みに紡ぎ合わせた作品。
“ポルトガルギター(ギターラ・ポルトゲッサ)”が奏でるポルトガル音楽“ファド”をベースに、沖縄の三線を由来とする新たな楽器”四線”の響きを融合。
ユーラシア大陸を遠く隔てた東西二つのサウンドを結び付け、郷愁感-サウダージ-溢れるユニークな音絵巻を繰り広げます。

Music arrangement of this song is based on Portuguese popular music "fado".
We play it by the Portugal guitar called "guitarra Portuguessa"and to crossover the far eastern music culture, we also use the Okinawan-Japanese new music instrument "yonshin" which is developed from traditional sanshin.
The lyrics sung in Japanese are improvised from the Japanese poetry called "tanka".
The motif of this song is beautiful "autumn leaves" which was written in the oldest collection of Japanese poetry "Manyoushu".
