地下鉄銀座線車内でのできごと。
若いお嬢さんが、優先席に座っていました。
ドアが開き、白髪の男性が乗車して来ました。
座っていたお嬢さんは立ち上がり、男性に何か話しかけました。
その後、男性が驚くべき行動をとったのです。その行動とは…
手を振り、断わったのです…。
お嬢さんは、ちょっと困ったような面持ちで席に戻りました。
別に大した話じゃないじゃん、と思われる方がいるかもしれません。
しかし、その様子を見ていた私はいたたまれなくなったのです。
ここに悪い人は誰もいません。
皆、善意の行動をとっています。でも、できるなら…
白髪の男性は、お嬢さんの好意を受け入れ座ってあげてほしかった。
たとえ後二駅で降りるにしても、自分はまだまだ若いと自負していても、
座ってあげてほしい。
きっとお嬢さんは勇気を出して立ち上がったに違いありません。
断られた後、どんな気持ちで席に戻ったでしょう。
もう二度と席なんか譲るもんか、と思ってしまったでしょうか。
経験豊富な紳士淑女の皆さん、若い方の好意を受け入れてあげようじゃありませんか。
それがきっとより良き未来に繋がりますから！
