熊野の海には、とてつもなく大きな魚が住んでいるお話

「熊野の海には、とてつもなく大きな魚が住んでいる。」

いつだったか、故郷の小さな駅のプラットホームで列車が到着するのを待っていた時にスルッと入ってきた物語の書き出し部分。

まだストーリーは出てきていないけれど、イメージはドンドンふくらんでいる。

あまりにも大きなイメージなので、いつかは壁画にでもなるのかもしれないけれど、今は、自然に生まれてくるイメージをスケッチブックに描きためているところ。

熊野の大魚は、いったい何を伝えようとしているのだろう？　

これからの展開が楽しみだ。

The idea of a tremendously big fish living in the ocean near Kumano came into my consciousness about 2 years ago and it has been trying to become visible through my art. It is a daunting task to bring forth the image as I have no idea how to make it happen. The one think I know is that any big canvas would not be big enough to capture this incredible figure. It might need a huge wall someday to create a mural. Meanwhile, I sketch what comes through my little mind trying to capture the glimpse of this big fish.
