日本語編

「足るを知る」とは、身分相応に満足することを知り、それ以上は求めないようにすることです。同じような意味で渋沢栄一の「論語と算盤」で説いた「蟹穴主義」もあります。自分の身の丈に合ったこと、得意なことを極めて社会に貢献し、そのことを喜びとすることを大事にすることを意味します。

英語編

"Knowing sufficiency" means understanding how to be satisfied with what is appropriate for your situation and not seeking more than necessary. A similar concept is found in Eiichi Shibusawa's "The Analects and the Abacus", where he discusses the "crab hole principle." This principle emphasizes the importance of mastering what suits your abilities and strengths, contributing to society through those efforts, and finding joy in doing so.
