私のレベルでの経験では、言語の翻訳や通訳だけに限れば、最近数年で大きく向上し、90%以上の翻訳や通訳は可能でしょう。

しかし、原稿には通常は表現されないこと、されていないことを正確に、正しく、文化的な相違まで理解して翻訳、通訳することは現段階ではまだ無理です。

端的な例の一つが、日本語文章では主語が省略されることが多く、単数か複数かも表現されないことが多く、AIにはこれらを判断することが困難で、誤訳をすることが多いです。

これらの誤訳は、人間が後から翻訳や通訳をチェック（後編集作業）して訂正しなければなりません。

ここに本当に実力のある人間が必要とされる場所、AI 時代でも必要とされる人間の生きる道があります。

省力化、効率化は不可欠ですが、人間にしかできないことがあります。
