That I was amazed at the human ability to get used to it. [chapter 1]
It has been a long interval, but I am back. I will write again patiently.
Thank you very much.
—————————————————————————————————————-
I recently read an article in the Nikkei newspaper in which a sociologist professor talked about what kind of view of marriage is ideal for today's students.
According to the report, limited mainly to the female students, their view of marriage was still that of the Showa era, that they wanted to have a traditional marriage, and that they wanted to be full-time housewives. These girls are the generation called "digital natives," even though they have always had instant access to any amount of information of any kind!
Her’s way of thinking is like the world of “Doraemon” and “Crayon Shinchan”. In these animes, their moms are all housewives.
Some people say that being a full-time housewife is a carefree family business, but becoming a housewife (husband) means becoming a professional housekeeper, which is quite hard work. However, once you are hooked, you are so caught up with what you have to do every day that it is very difficult to escape from the housework into society.
Many of hers seemed to work as mothers until their children were on their own, and then gradually go out into the society again, doing part-time or temporary work.
I was trying to follow that path in a sane way.
I was." The reason I wrote "I was" is because I have finally gone off the rails and started on a new path that I have laid out for myself. It is a bit of an exaggeration to call it a new path for a housewife, but it is because I am spending my days in a way that is unimaginable compared to what I was doing last year.
In early summer last year, I had lunch with a friend I had not seen for a long time. She is a superwoman who has been realizing what she wants to do one after another, and that day , She told me that she had started her second or third company.
“Why don't you try MICA, you've been saying for 20 years now that there's something you want to do. Come on!”
I have always told my friend that I wanted to create a kind of salon where people could study tea ceremony in a more casual way.
In fact, at the end of the year before she told me about it, I happened to notice something like an entrepreneurial salon that I saw on Facebook and wandered over to check it out.
Hmmm, I still don't think I'll ever be able to set up anything like a store, I was hanging around that salon where I might learn some kind of know-how ...... I guess because I thought it would be a good idea. If I enjoy going there so much, maybe entrepreneurship is right for me?
Some such coincidences? A few coincidences? A series of coincidences led me to attend the Petit Entrepreneurship Course and the Entrepreneurship Seminar that year. It was a rule that those who attended the seminar had to take consulting services which is held at the same place.
Then, seeing me happily going there every weekday, people around me began to change occurred to them.
First, my husband. And then my mother. Lately, the kids has been wondering if mom will be busy next year. I am really surprised at how much people have become accustomed to this. I really think it's amazing what people get used to!!!
Still, the reaction of the people around me was still mild: "Did Mom find something else to do during the day besides the tea ceremony?
I think.
To be continued…
