配置する　How to arrange what you want to shoot

写真を撮る人だけでなく、絵を描く人、そしてそれらを観る人にも好きな構図があると思います。自分の撮影した写真を見返すと意識しないうちに同じような構図を作っています。

I think that not only people who take pictures, but people who draw and see them have their favorite compositions. When I look back at the pictures I took, I made a similar composition without realizing it.

これまで構図についてしっかりと学んだことがないまま撮影しています。それでも何とかなるものだなんて思っていますが同時にしっかりと学びたいとも思っています。

I'm shooting without learning anything about composition. I still think that it can be done, but at the same time I also want to learn firmly.

今販売している号で休刊の「アサヒカメラ」で構図の特集が掲載されています。「構図は名作に学べ」と題されています。そうか、絵画を参考にすればいいのかと今更気づきました。いろいろな事に触れていくべきですね。写真が好きだからと言って写真だけではダメなのではないか、写真以外のことを学ぶことが重要、そして将来写真にもいい影響が出るはずだと信じています。

A special issue on composition is published in the "Asahi Camera", which has been suspended in the issue we are selling now. The title is "Learn composition from masterpieces." Well, I just realized that I should refer to the painting. You should touch various things. Just because you like photography doesn't mean you can't do it alone. I believe it's important to learn something other than photography, and it will have a positive impact on photography in the future.

構図のバリエーションを持つのが良いのか、それとも好きな構図にこだわり続けるのが良いのか。ちょっと考えてみようかな。

Is it better to have compositional variations, or is it better to stick to your favorite composition? Let's think for a moment.

それにしても歴史のある雑誌が休刊というのが驚きです。雑誌は厳しいですね。これはカメラ雑誌に限った話ではないですね。ここ数年、色んな雑誌がなくなっています。出版業界自体が厳しいのはずっと以前から言われ続けていますが書店での雑誌や書籍の販売の方法なんてまるで変わっていませんからね。書店が減少しているなか、新たに出店されているケースも見受けられます。個人書店は面白そうな店もできていますがチェーン店はやはり相変わらずですよね。新しい店ぐらい思い切ったことをやっても良いと思うのですができないというのも出版業界の問題なのでしょうね。

Even so, it's surprising that a magazine with a history is closed. Magazines are tough. This is not limited to camera magazines. In recent years, various magazines have disappeared. It has long been said that the publishing industry itself is tough, but the method of selling magazines and books at bookstores hasn't changed. While the number of bookstores is decreasing, there are cases where new ones are being opened. There are some personal bookstores that look interesting, but chain stores are still the same. I think it's okay to do something bold about new stores, but it's also a problem in the publishing industry.
