直訳と意訳が半々くらいのバランスを心がけます。
同じ詩のリフレインが続きますが、スフィアンの囁くような柔らかい声と一見対照的に、終盤へ向けて徐々に煌びやかになっていくオーケストラが非常に気分を高めてくれる一曲です。

人生におけるすべての不確定な物事の移ろいが、移動する車窓から見える風景の移ろいと重ね合わせて書かれているように思います。

余談
こちらのコンセプトアルバム"Illinois"を元にした舞台作品が、2023年末からオフブロードウェイ公演として打たれていました。
情報を得て以来めちゃめちゃ鑑賞したかったんですけど、アワードシーズンに合わせて急ピッチで上演されたとも聞くので、日本におけるスフィアンの知名度の低さを鑑みても、日本には招聘されないでしょうね……悲。
主要キャラクターのスタイリングが大分スフィアンに寄せられている。
