術前から医者に聞いていた、
術後の自己導尿は想像以上の貴重な経験となった。
自己導尿とは尿道からカテーテルを入れて尿を取る方法である。

トイレでまずは自分で排尿して、
その後の残尿を自己導尿する、という流れだ。
最初は殆ど自尿が出ない。
看護師から自己導尿セットを渡され、一緒にトイレに入った。
まずは、便器の前にスタンド式の鏡を置く。
女性器を拭く為の清浄綿のパッケージを開けておく。
次にズボンと下着をおろし、そのまま手を洗う。
便器に座り、足を開き、指で陰唇を開き、
清浄綿で拭く。
もちろんこの間も看護師は
説明しながら手伝ってくれている。
私は鏡に映った自分の女性器に愕然とした。
今までに自分の女性器を
こんな風にじっくりと見たことが無かった….
ピンクでふわふわしてとても綺麗だった。
え！可愛い！ と思った。
指で開いた瞬間、
何とも言えない自分の“香り”がした。
それはエロティックなその香りに陶酔した。
あの香りは今でも鮮明に覚えている。
そんな感動をよそに
「神さんのは尿道が分かりやすくて良かった！」
と看護師がカテーテルの入れ方を教えてくれた。
カテーテルから残尿が勢いよく飛び出た。

自己導尿は痛みも全くなく、
私的にはすぐに上手くできるようになった。
夜も３時間おきの排尿タイムは、やはり頭がボーっとした。
排尿していると、産科病棟の赤ちゃんが夜も

その声を聴くと、
ふと夜中の授乳タイムを思い出し、
