自分の作品が、喜んでもらえるなら、と I wish if you appreciate my work.

昨日の仏画曼荼羅アート泉佐野教室で、70代の女性の生徒さんが皆さんにこんな可愛らしい、手作りの巾着袋を配られた。中に飴ちゃんが入っていた。大阪らしいっていえば、らしい。

At the Buddhist Mandala Art Izumisano Class yesterday, a female student in her 70s handed out such a cute, handmade purse bag. Candy was inside. It likes Osaka style.

その方が、ちょっと先生〜、と声がかかった。
まじめなお顔で、「あのね、先日、ウォーキングしている時に、いつもすれ違う男の人から声がかかったのョ！」

The woman asked me, "teacher!"
With a serious look, "Ah, the other day when I was walking in the park, I was always called by a man passing by!"

「え、それってナンパ！」と私の突っ込みに、周りの方々からかも笑いが。

"Oh, that's a date invitation!"

「その方はとっても優しくて、知り合って以来、ウォーキングのたびにお話をしているのョ」と。
「で、先日、その方の奥様が急に亡くなられたことを聞いて、ちょっとショックを受けて」
「それで、いままで描いた仏画のどれかに般若心経を書き添えて、その方に贈ろと思っているのだけど、先生どう思いますか」

"That person is very kind and has talked with me every time I walked since I met him," she said.
"The other day, I was shocked when I heard that his wife died suddenly."
"So, I think I would like to add the Hannya Sutra to one of the Buddhist paintings I have drawn so far and give it to that person. What do you think about that, teacher?”

「それは、素晴らしい！ご自分の作品を差し上げたら、きっと驚かれ、喜ばれると思いますョ〜」と。
こんなステキな会話をしながら楽しい時間を共有させていただいた。

"That's wonderful! I'm sure you'll be amazed and pleased if you give him your work!"
We had a great time sharing such a wonderful conversation.
