美しい花手水に心が和む。【西本願寺<大谷本廟>】 The beautiful flower water will soothe your heart.

7カ月ぶりに京都を訪ねた。
4連休では全国各地の観光地の人出をTVのニュースで報道していた。コロナ騒動で閑散としていた京都の街にも、Go To キャンペーンで一気に賑わいを取り戻したようである。

I visited Kyoto for the first time in 7 months.
During the four consecutive holidays, the number of tourists from all over the country was reported on TV news. It seems that the Go To campaign has regained the bustle of the city of Kyoto, which was quiet due to the corona riots.

連休から一夜明け、昨日、お彼岸のお参りを兼ねて少し散策。目的のお参りは、西本願寺の大谷本廟である。そのあと、南禅寺まで足を延ばした。

One night after the holidays, yesterday, I took a short walk to visit the equinoctial week. The purpose of the visit is the Otani mausoleum of Nishi Hongan-ji Temple. After that, I went to Nanzen-ji Temple.

西本願寺にはよく参拝させていただくのだが、東山五条の本廟は2回目である。遠い昔に納骨に参って以来だから記憶も薄らいでいる。かろうじての記憶をたよりに本廟の無量寿堂にある郷里のお寺さんの納骨所に行き念願の参拝ができた。

I often visit Nishi Honganji, but this is the second time for the main mausoleum of Higashiyama Gojo. Since I came to the bones a long time ago, my memory is fading. Based on my bare memory, I was able to go to the ossuary of a temple in my hometown in the main temple of Muryojyudo and worship at my wish.

帰りに、本堂にお参りし境内を散策した。目に留まったのが、写真にあるように色とりどりのお花が浮いている花手水。本来は手水舎ではあるが、新型コロナウイルス感染を防ぐために手水を控える代わりに、参拝者に少しでも和んでもらおうという社寺の計らいのようである。
穏やかにな気持ちで大谷本廟を後に、南禅寺に向かった。

On the way back, I visited the main hall and took a walk in the precincts. What caught my eye was Hanachozu, which has colorful flowers floating as shown in the photo. Originally it is a Chozuya, but instead of refraining from watering to prevent infection with the new coronavirus, it seems to be a shrine and temple plan to have worshipers relax as much as possible.
I left Otani Hombyo with a calm feeling and headed for Nanzen-ji Temple.
