【日英対訳】内装や建物の意匠スタートから2年
内装や建築物の意匠保護がスタートしてからほぼ2年が経過します。これがどの程度活用されているのかについて、特許庁から統計が発表されました。

Almost two years have passed since design protection for interiors and buildings was started. The Japan Patent Office has released statistics on the extent to which the system has been utilized.

この統計を見ると、新しい意匠制度は活発に活用されており、上記注)の事実を勘案すると査定率も高いといえます。
「内装や建物」に独占権が与えられるのですから、これらを「必ず意匠出願をする」という風潮を広めたいと思います。この制度をより浸透させて、世の中に無数に存在する建物や内装の意匠出願の需要を掘り起こしていきたいと思います。
These statistics show that the new design system is being actively utilized, and when taking the matter mentioned in the above note into account, the rate of assessment can also be said to be high.
Since exclusive rights are granted to “interiors and buildings,” I would like more people to know about this trend of “always filing a design application” for such articles. I also hope that the system becomes more widespread in order to create demand for design applications of countless buildings and interiors nationwide.
