「スタートからいちばん近いゴール」vol. 3
1994年京都府生まれ。2019年沖縄県立芸術大学美術工芸学部絵画科油画コース卒業。
湯浅の絵画制作は、描くこととほぼ同じだけ、消すことを繰り返す。この行為の往来でかたち作られていく彼の作品には、過去から未来へと流れるような、一方向的な時間軸は存在しない。編み物のように複数の時間の糸が重なり合い、一つのイメージとして合流していく。
それは、認知症だった祖母の感覚と自分の感覚の距離を手繰り寄せ、少しでも寄り添えるようになりたいという彼の試みであったようにも思われる。
また、最近は絵画の中にある「見当識」をテーマに制作している。

Kaname Yuasa
Born in Kyoto in 1994. Graduated from Okinawa Prefectural University of Arts, Faculty of Arts & Crafts, Painting Major in 2021.
Yuasa's painting process repeats erasing as much as drawing. There is no one-way timeline that flows from the past to the future in his work, which is formed by the trace of this act. Like knitting, threads of multiple times overlap and merge as one image.
It also seems to have been his attempt to draw out the interval between a sense of his grandmother with dementia and his to be as close as possible.
Recently, he has been working on the theme of "orientation" in paintings.
