長野県は9日、白馬村の小中学校3校で給食を食べた児童・生徒と教職員計46人が発熱や発疹などの症状を訴えた件で、原因は、調理するカジキの常温解凍を長くし過ぎたため、雑菌が繁殖したことによる食中毒だったと発表した。

常温解凍は危険でダメなのは確かだけど、学校、病院、老人ホームの給食を作ってる所は皆んなが思っている以上に人手不足。人も居ない、給料も安い、そんな中子供とか病人、高齢者の食の安全を守るのも限界がきていると思う。保育士や介護士は国からの補助も出るが、調理するスタッフも何かしらの援助が無いと今後このような事故は増え続けてしまうと思う。

It's true that defrosting at room temperature is dangerous and a no-no, but the places that make lunches for schools, hospitals, and nursing homes are more short-staffed than everyone thinks. There are no workers, salaries are low, and I think there is a limit to what can be done to protect the food safety of children, the sick, and the elderly in such circumstances. The government subsidizes childcare workers and caregivers, but without some kind of assistance for cooking staff, I think the number of accidents like this will continue to increase.

自民党、公明党、国民民主党の協議が大詰めを迎えている「年収103万円の壁」引き上げを巡り、毎日新聞が全国47都道府県の知事を対象にアンケート調査をしたところ、引き上げ自体への反対は「ゼロ」で、半数近い22人が「賛成」と答えた。税収減を懸念する一方で、人手不足解消や住民の所得向上などによる経済活性化に期待する意見が強いことが浮き彫りになった。

103万円の構成要素である基礎控除は生活費などを考慮したものですので、物価高などに対応する引上げ(適正化)は妥当なものです。もちろん財源の問題などは考える必要はありますが、本来基礎控除の適正化と国の財源の問題は別物です。基礎控除が現状に合わないのであればまずはそれを修正し、それによってでてきた問題があれば他の方法で手当てする、という形にしないと結局何も変わらないことになってしまいます。まずは一歩踏み出し、そこでの問題を解決するために知恵を絞るというあり方が望ましいように思います。

新型コロナウイルス禍でテイクアウト人気をリードしたワタミ運営のから揚げ専門店「から揚げの天才」。当時、1号店オープンから最速で100店舗達成と勢いがあったが、その後一転して閉店ラッシュに見舞われ、ピークからわずか3年で店舗数が10分の1に激減した。そして2024年11月、ワタミ本社が入居するビル1階で営業していた店舗も閉店した。

ワタミグループの閉店には人材不足も大きなウェイトを占めていないでしょうか?今は無くなったと思いますが、売上の高い日曜営業終了後、一睡も出来ず毎週月曜早朝から蒲田本社で店長会議で、売り上げの低い店の店長は中間管理職を飛ばして社長直々のパワハラが当たり前、結果優秀な人材が会社を去って行ったと。こんな噂が普通に流れていたと言うことは、実際はそれ以上だったのでしょう。近所の店長と話したことありますが、げっそりしていましたので、私のいた外食チェーンは天国と感じました。トップダウンの強すぎる企業は開店も早いでしょうが、無理が祟るとこうなる。

I think it's gone now, but I heard that after the close of business on Sundays when sales are high, the managers have a meeting at the Kamata head office every Monday early morning without getting a wink of sleep, and that the managers of the stores with low sales skip over the middle managers and are harassed directly by the president. If rumors like this were common, the reality must have been even worse. I have talked to a manager at a nearby restaurant, and he so drained that I felt the restaurant chain I was at was heaven. A company that is too top down will open too fast, but this is what happens when the overreach takes its toll.
