ひときわ大きな輝きを放つボトルが、先程Bar Higuchiに届きました。
いえ、その他4本のシングルモルトも、魅力溢れるボトルたち。決して、凡庸なウイスキーではありません。
それでもなお言及せずにいられないのは、この蒸溜所が最近になって注目され始めたわけでも、稀に偉大なカスクに恵まれるから、というわけでもありません。
数々のスペイサイドを代表する蒸溜所の中でも
決して好事家たちの興味を逸らすことがない
この蒸溜所から今回届いたボトルは、
『ホール・オブ・フェイム(殿堂)』の名を冠したシリーズ第1弾！
そう、日本人で初めてウイスキー殿堂入りを果たした元サントリーの輿水(こしみず)精一氏が選定した樽、マッカラン 1986 33年　シェリーホグスヘッド#3 48.1% 限定154本。
25万円を超える価格ながら、どんなボトルでも実際に飲んでみるまでは、本当に自分にとっての価値があるものかは、分からないもの。
油断は禁物です。
価格がクオリティを担保しているとは決して断定できないのが事実。
しかし、なにせ今回は輿水さんのセレクト。
しかも、ウィスク・イーが満を持してのシリーズ第1弾。
