Today, I’m introducing you about my new YouTube project, entitled:

So far, I have made 5 videos of this kind and have released them at my YouTube channel focused on HIDEKI SAIJO (1955-2018), from earlier this year 2024.

The purpose of my channel is solely to introduce, in English and Japanese, to wider global audiences, the life and works of this extremely talented singer, who debuted in 1972 in Japanese mainstream music scone, became one of the biggest superstars in the history of modern Japanese popular music, and attracted massive numbers of fans and younger musicians over generations, inside Japan and across Asia, for over half a century now.

Japanese is a very beautiful, yet often very fluid, ambiguous and multiple-meaning-laden language, especially when it comes to poetry and lyrics.

Also, it is the fact that not so many people In the world, except the native Japanese, can understand and speak it.

Thereby, in order to introduce my most favourite vocalist and idol ever, HIDEKI, in depth, to the international audiences, I have been trying to make good English translations to some of his most important songs and live concert speeches that I selected.

I will talk about the details of each song and translation work later in my future articles.
