Waiting for Accounting 〜会計学のために並んでいます〜

Spotted a minor translation error at a combini (convenience store) in downtown Tokyo. 🏪

The sign above the cash registers said “accounting”. People would probably be able to guess, but it might remind them of a college course!

都内のコンビニで見つけた、ちょっとした翻訳の間違いをご紹介します☺

辞書で、“accounting”を引くと、「会計」と書いてあるので勘違いされやすいのですが、

実は“accounting”には、「学問」というニュアンスが含まれているのです。

（レジの上に掲示してあったので、意味は伝わると思いますが！笑🙆‍♀）


ちなみに大学の頃、会計学の授業へ行く時に ”I have accounting (class) now.” と言っていたのを思い出しました🎓笑
