クロシオ　黒味を帯びた花弁の魅力

黒潮 （クロシオ）

この『黒潮』は、日本の伊豆地方で生まれたツバキ
の品種のひとつ。その名前は、日本近海を流れる
暖流の『黒潮』に由来しており、力強く美しい花姿
を持つことが特徴とされる。


『黒潮』の花は深みのある濃紅色で、黒味を帯びた
花弁を持つ。椿の中でも特に花弁濃度が高いため
見る者に力強い印象を与える。


その花はヤブツバキ系の花で、中輪～大輪の品種
で、やや丸みを帯びた整った花形をしている。
蕾の状態では黒薔薇の花かと思わせる魅力をもつ。


伊豆地方はツバキの名所であるが、この『黒潮』
もその一つで、温暖な気候と豊かな自然環境の中
で育まれた品種となる。

Kuroshio


“Kuroshio” is a camellia variety that originated in the Izu region of Japan. Its name is derived from the Kuroshio Current, the warm ocean current that flows near Japan, reflecting the flower’s strong and beautiful appearance.


The flowers of Kuroshio are a deep, rich crimson with petals that have a slightly blackish hue. Among camellias, it is known for its particularly intense petal coloration, creating a powerful visual impression.


This variety belongs to the Camellia japonica group and produces medium to large-sized blooms with a well-formed, slightly rounded shape. When in bud, it possesses an alluring charm, resembling a black rose.


The Izu region is renowned for its camellias, and Kuroshio is one of its distinguished varieties, nurtured by the area’s warm climate and rich natural environment.
