旅するくまさん904「白骨温泉」

くまさん一行は、乗鞍エコーラインから乗鞍高原の宿泊施設エリアまで降りてきました。途中で北方向に向かったくまさん達は白骨温泉（しらほねおんせん）にやってきました。この温泉は山の中にある温泉地で、鎌倉時代に発見、江戸元禄時代に温泉宿ができました。泉質は単純硫化水素泉です。「白骨の湯に三日入ると三年は風邪をひかない」と言われたほどの名湯で、白い炭酸カルシウムの固形物が付着しています。取りあえず温泉に入るくまさん一行。白骨と聞くとガイコツを思い出しつつ元々は、白船とも呼ばれていたそうで、中里介山の小説、大菩薩峠の中で「白骨」と呼んでからそのように呼ばれるようになったことを知ったくまさん達なのでした。
