 Sota Fujii, a Japanese chess player, won the most prestigious Ryuo championship Saturday with a four-game sweep of Masayuki Toyoshima, making him, at 19 years and three months, the youngest player in history to hold four major titles.
 The Tokyo Shimbun, a Japanese newspaper, reports that his success lies in Artificial Intelligence (AI). It enables him to obtain his necessary skills far faster than his senior players who have acquired them through many years of experience.
 Information technologies like AI will never stop growing. They are essential to our lives, whether we like them or not. For example, the smartphone has dramatically changed our lives. It helps us make calls at any time anywhere and obtain the latest information on a real-time basis. We cannot live without it!
To survive in the information-driven society, seniors must learn from their juniors how to use the technologies. They cannot survive without support from their juniors who know and can use them far better.

将棋の藤井聡太が最高峰のタイトル竜王を獲得した。それも19歳の若さで。苦手な相手とされてきた豊島さんに4連勝しての竜王獲得は、藤井さんにとって格別に違いない。東京新聞によると、AIが藤井さんの成長に大きく貢献しているらしい。AIのおかげで、長い年月をかけた経験を短期間で学べるらしい。
　AIを含むIT技術の進化は止まらない。好き嫌いに関係なく、IT社会の影響を傍観していられる時代ではない。わかりやすい例は、スマートフォン。スマートフォンのお陰で、いつでもどこでも連絡が取れるようになった。また、スマートフォンは、最新の情報をリアルタイムで提供してくれるツールでもある。この便利さはもう手放せない。
　IT技術の台頭により、「先輩が後輩から多くを学ぶ」必要がある。IT機器を簡単に使いこなせる若い人から学ばなければ、年長者は生きてゆけない。主客転倒。
