My Favourite Barber Shop （行きつけの散髪屋）

The other day, I went to my favourite barber shop to get my hair cut. It was the first time in 2 months. As usual, I had got it cut very short. But it seemed to be so short that I was told by my wife that I should have got it shaved. Anyway, I was very happy with the haircut.
The shop only has 2 barbers. I had my hair cut by the younger one and talked a lot while he was cutting my hair. Most of the talk about the recent robberies in the Tokyo area. The robberies are so violent that the victims are exposed to the risk of death. And they have been committed by the young people who have lured in by the advertisements for illegal part-time jobs on social networking sites. It was a big surprise that so many illegal part-time jobs are on the sites.
I also talked to him about the year-end lotteries. I have found that he have bought them every year. So, I asked him if he is also going to buy tickets for horse races in December. But he does not gamble on horse races, and I could not learn how to buy the tickets.
Anyway, I really enjoyed the haircut. But I am very worried about the future of the shop. It seems to have a very few customers. It was on a Sunday that I went to the shop. But it only seemed to have about 10 customers. When I called in the morning to have the appointment, I was told that anytime was fine and I could have it just now.
So, I booked it on 3:00 pm. And when I went there at the time, I found that no customer other than me and that the barbers was having a nap. The shop seems to be hard to run!

　先日、行きつけの床屋に髪を切りに行きました。2ヶ月ぶりでした。いつものように、短く切ってもらいました。短すぎて、妻に「坊主にすればよかったのに」と言わる始末です。ともかく、髪型には満足しています。
この店には理容師が2人しかいません。今回は、若い人に切ってもらいました。髪を切ってもらっている間、たくさん話をしました。そのほとんどは、最近東京とその近郊で起きた強盗事件の話でした。強盗は、被害者が死の危険にさらされるほど凶暴なものです。しかも、SNSの違法バイトの広告に誘われた若者たちによる犯行です。こんなにたくさんの違法バイトがSNSサイトに掲載されていることが驚きです。
　年末の宝くじについても話をしました。毎年、宝くじを買っているらしいので、12月の競馬もするのかと尋ねたところ、競馬はやらないそうです。馬券の買い方を教えてもらおうと思ったのですが、駄目でした。
　とにかく、散髪は楽しかったです。でも、店の将来がとても心配です。お客さんが少ないようです。ボクが店に行ったのは日曜日でした。でも、その日の客は10人ほどしかいなかったようです。午前中に予約の電話を入れると、いつでも大丈夫、今からでも大丈夫と言われる始末です。
それで午後3時に予約しました。その時間に行ってみると、ボク以外に客はおらず、理容師の二人は昼寝中でした。店の経営は大変そうです！
