【Inside beBit】Market Development - Uchida-san
Inside beBit - A project in which we ask 10 questions about a beBit member's work and personal life.
While we have already published a few articles about our executives, we have decided to start randomly selecting members to interview from all of our employees as well! We hope that the new “Inside beBit” will provide an opportunity to get to know more about the individuals you work with.
In this issue, we had Uchida-san from the Market Development team answer our questions!

1:Tell us about your background
My first job was sales, ordering stock, and visual merchandising at a department store, and my second job was in corporate sales and business development at an HR company. At beBit, I have been involved in the frontlines of CRM, sales management, inside sales, marketing, and customer success.
2:Why did you join beBit?
10 years ago, while thinking about the type of work I wanted to be involved in, I came across a company that aimed to “realize a world where users, companies, and workers can all be happy through user-centered thinking.” While I was skeptical as to how that would be possible, everyone I spoke to during the interview process took this goal very seriously. While I still had my doubts, I joined beBit because I felt that I wanted to achieve the same goal as well.
3:Please tell us about the work you do at beBit
My mission is to manage and improve the quality of operations in the Market Development team and the associated departments, but as it is a new position, I have been working on establishing a system for visualization and maintenance of activities related to the business and sales.
4:What surprised you the most when you joined beBit?
I was surprised to find out that many of the people who work here don’t own a TV, and that many don’t watch any TV shows.
It may be more common in recent years, but 10 years ago when I joined, TV’s were owned by over 99% of households. Everyone around me besides the beBit team were regularly watching TV shows, so I was very surprised when people told me they didn’t own a TV!
5:What is the most memorable or rewarding job you’ve done at beBit?
My most memorable job was running PR and Marketing for the release of USERGRAM. As we didn’t have a PR team at the time, I wrote press releases, hosted events, planned interviews, uploaded articles, and hosted seminars - all in hopes that more people would find out about USERGRAM! In all honesty, not everything went according to plan, but I’m very thankful for Fujii-san (my superior at the time) who was very supportive and allowed me to make mistakes, and Nakajima-san who turned my failures into learning experiences I can look back and laugh at.
6:Tell us one thing you like about beBit
The fact that everyone is able to think and act on their own. Even though there are many changes going on, we are able to move forward actively towards our goal because everyone can act without being told what to do.
7:Tell us what you value most when working
I strive to not lose sight of my main objective. When there are frequent changes throughout the company, it is necessary to change what we do and how we work. Whenever I feel lost because of the changes, I focus on my main objective.
8:Who is your role model?
I used to search for role models in the past, but I came to the realization that I no longer have anyone in mind because of my personality, and because of my inconsistent work experience. However, even though I don’t have a role model and I’m not completely sure what I would like to do in the future, I am still able to live and enjoy a normal life!
9:What do you do during your free time?
I have been going to a boxing gym, b-monster, 2~3 times a week for the past 5 years. Other than that, I enjoy eating good food, drinks, watching sports, games, vacations, and golf, all while spending time with my family and friends.
10:Tell us about any challenges you would like to attempt
I don’t have any specific challenges in mind at the moment, but I would like to spend my life in a way that I can look back when I am 60 years old and think to myself, while there were some troubles, life in general is fun!
beBit is looking for more members to join us!
