単語を知らないとね、お話にならないんですよ。会話にならない。
If you don’t know the words, it’s a non-starter. You can’t have a conversation.

多分、英語学習初心者の方は、外国人とお話がしたい、英会話がしたいっていう夢がある、目標があるっていう方多いんじゃないかと思います。
I think that many people who are new to learning English probably have dreams or goals like wanting to talk to foreigners and be able to speak English.

現在、インバウンドで日本に外国人観光客たくさん来てますよね。
Currently, a lot of foreign tourists are visiting Japan due to the inbound boom.

道とか聞かれませんか?
Have you ever been asked for directions?

私もね、何回も聞かれたことありますよ。
I’ve been asked many times myself.

電車の中で混んでる時に、｢この電車はどこどこに停まりますか?｣とか聞かれたことありますけど、恥ずかしいんですけどね。でも答えましたけども。
For example, I’ve been asked on a crowded train, “Does this train stop at such-and-such station?” I felt embarrassed, but I answered.

Situations like that can inspire people to work harder on their English.

初心者の方は、英語をきちんと文章で言えるようになるまでには時間がかかるので、それができるようになってから、実践英語に進むとかだと、その間もったいないのでね、
For beginners, it takes time to be able to speak in complete English sentences. If you wait until you can do that to start practicing real-life English, you’ll lose valuable time.

今、即戦力としてパッとね、外国人がいたら、英会話ができるっていう状態にするためには、英単語ですね。
To quickly prepare yourself to communicate effectively when you meet a foreigner, it’s all about English vocabulary.

♡prepare : 準備する
♡yourself : あなた自身
♡communicate : コミュニケーションをとる
♡effectively : 効果的に
♡when : ～の時
♡you : あなた
♡meet : 会う
♡foreigner : 外国人
♡all about.. : ～が全て
♡vocabulary : 語彙
単語の羅列でいいんですよ。
Just listing words is fine.

♡listing : 列挙すること
♡words : 単語
♡..is : ～である
♡fine : 問題ない
それでも伝わりますから、部分的にね。
Even that will get the message across, at least partially.

それで、英語を話せたっていう感動をね、得られますので、またやる気も高まりますのでね。
You’ll feel the excitement of being able to speak English, which will boost your motivation.

In any case, focus on learning English words.

あとはね、英単語の一つですけども、前置詞。
Another important type of vocabulary is prepositions.
♡another : 別の
♡important : 重要な
♡type : 種類
♡of.. : ～の
♡vocabulary : 語彙
♡..is : ～である
♡prepositions : 前置詞
withとかforとかinとかatとか、こういう前置詞を覚える。
Learn prepositions like "with," "for," "in," and "at."
♡learn : 学ぶ

♡like.. : ～のような
♡with.. : ～と一緒に
♡for.. : ～のために
♡in.. : ～の中で
♡at.. : ～で
あとは代名詞、私とかあなたとか彼とか彼女とかね、こういうのもね、基本的な英単語なんですけどね、兎に角覚える。
Then there are pronouns, like "I," "you," "he," and "she." These are basic words, but make sure to memorize them.

そうすると即使えるので。
That way, you’ll be able to use them right away.
