英語の文法について難しい部分は、文章を作ることなんです。
The difficult part about English grammar, you see, is constructing sentences.
英語は明確な文章構造が求められる言語で、日本語とは違います。
English is a language that requires clear sentence structures, unlike Japanese, which is quite a messy language in comparison.
日本語は比較的ごちゃごちゃした言語で、きちんとした文章を作らなくてもコミュニケーションが成り立つことが多いんです。
Communication in Japanese can often succeed without even forming proper sentences.
例えば、日本語では文末を省略したり、言わなくても済むことがよくあります。
For example, in Japanese, sentence endings can often be left out or omitted entirely.
日本語の文末の役割

実は、日本語の文末は、意味を伝える際にとても重要な役割を持っています。
In fact, the sentence ending in Japanese holds significant importance when conveying meaning.
文末には話し手の意図やニュアンス、微妙な表現が含まれていることが多いんです。
It often includes the speaker's intentions, nuances, or subtle tones.
それを言わなくて済むというのは、ある意味では「逃げ」なんですね。
Being able to leave it unsaid is, in a sense, a form of avoidance.
例えば、何か曖昧なことを言った後で「…と私は…」と話を止めれば、自分がそう思うのか、思わないのか、賛成なのか反対なのか、そこを明言しなくても済むわけです。
For example, after saying something vague, you can trail off with something like, "…well, I…" and leave your thoughts, agreement, or disagreement unspoken.
会話の流れによって自分の意見や結論を変えることもできますし、指摘されたら「え？そんなこと言ってませんよ」なんて言い訳もできるんです。
You can even change your opinion or conclusion depending on the flow of the conversation. And if someone calls you out, you can easily say, "Oh? I didn’t say that," to excuse yourself.
英語と日本語の語順の違い

でも、英語では大事なことを最初に言わなければなりません。
But in English, you have to state the critical part upfront.
日本語と違って、英語は語順が異なります。
Because the word order is different from Japanese, where sentence endings are key.
英語で正しい文章を作る場合、「私は思います」と最初に言って、その後で「何を」の部分、つまり目的語を述べます。
In English, when constructing a proper sentence, you say "I think…" first, and then you follow it with the object or "what" you are thinking about.
英語では動詞が先に来ます。
In English, the verb comes first.
ですから、話し始める前に考えがまとまっていないと話せません。
This means that before you start speaking, you need to have your thoughts organized; otherwise, you can’t speak.
日本語で話しながら考えることの可能性
The Possibility of Thinking While Speaking in Japanese
一方、日本語を話すときは、話しながら考えることが可能です。
When speaking Japanese, it’s possible to think while speaking.
話しながら自分の考えを整理していく。
You can organize your thoughts as you talk.
そういう話し方ができるんです。
This way of speaking is feasible.
ただ、そういう話し方をすると、やっぱり話がごちゃごちゃになりがちですけどね。
Though it often leads to messy conversations.
日本人の日常会話では、そうやって話す人が多いと思います。
I think many Japanese people speak like this in their daily conversations.
私自身もそうで、今こうやって話しながら考えを整理して話していますが、この方法だとやっぱり少し混乱した話になります。
I do too, as you can see—I’m talking while organizing my thoughts, which results in a slightly chaotic explanation.
最初から話す内容が決まっている人は、こんな風には話しません。
People who already know what they want to say before speaking don’t speak like this.
論理的な話し方をするために必要なこと
What It Takes to Speak Logically
そういう人は、「今日は○○について話します。伝えたいポイントは3つあります。1つ目はこれです。2つ目はこれです。」といった感じで話します。
Such people will say things like, "Today, I’ll talk about XYZ. There are three main points I want to convey. The first is this. The second is that."
最初からポイントが3つあると分かっていて話すわけですからね。
They can structure their speech this way because they know from the start that they have three points to discuss.
でも、こういう話し方をするには準備が必要です。
However, speaking like this requires preparation.
それか、話す内容がもともと明確で、準備しなくても頭の中で整理されている場合は、最初から論理的な話し方ができます。
Alternatively, it works when they already have a very clear understanding of what they want to say
英語で文章を作る重要性

そう、それで、英語を話すときに何が大変かというと、文章を作ることなんです。
Oh, and so, the hard part about speaking English is constructing sentences.
なぜなら、文章を作るには、最初から自分の中で言いたいことがはっきりしていないといけないからです。
Why? Because to construct a sentence, you must know exactly what you want to say right from the start.
英文の作り方をマスターするのは難しいです。
It's difficult to master how to make English sentences.
それに対して、英語の名詞の作り方、つまり日本語の名詞の部分を英語にする方法を集中的に学ぶことは、実は比較的簡単なんです。
On the other hand, it is actually relatively easy to intensively learn how to form English nouns, that is, how to translate Japanese nouns into English.
それに、名詞の部分を作れるようになることは非常に重要でもあります。
Yet extremely important.
なので、ここを意識して勉強するのが良いかなと思います。
So, I think it’s a good idea to consciously focus on studying this aspect.
