Most hotels focus on providing guests with a stay to remember.
However,
a hotel in Chiswick, London,
Room2 have looked at ways they can make improvements to the way they work.
They now have a wildflower roof
to stop heat loss,
solar panels to create electricity,
and they have planted trees to offset their carbon footprint.
Their bedrooms use
water-saving showers,
and they use vegan,
locally produced products as much as possible.
Leftover food from the hotel’s kitchen is given to a charity that ensure zero food waste.
Any waste from the kitchens is put in a compost bin.
The hotel’s owner, Robert Godwin, said that they will soon be nearly 90% more energy-efficient than a typical UK hotel.
Room2 could soon become the world’s first net-zero hotel.
