Airways has been using
an alternative fuel
called SAF for its
flights, which is
said to reduce
carbon dioxide emissions
by about 80% compared
to conventional fuels.
Companies that sign up
for the new service,
which will begin in
April 2022, will be
able to receive a
"reduction certificate"
issued by a third-party
organization.
This is because by flying
on a business trip,
you are able to say
you are contributing
to carbon reduction.
The price of alternative
fuels is three to four times
more expensive than
conventional fuels,
so signing up for this
service means paying
an extra fee,but
ANA expects companies
that are committed to
decarbonization
to use this service.

航空大手の全日空は、従来の燃料と比べ二酸化炭素の排出をおよそ80％抑えることができるとされる「SAF」と呼ばれる代替燃料を旅客機の運航に使っています。2022年4月から始める新たなサービスを契約した企業は、第三者機関の発行する「削減証書」を受け取ることができます。出張で飛行機を使うことで二酸化炭素削減に貢献したことになるからです。代替燃料の価格は従来の燃料の3倍から4倍と割高で、契約するといわば割り増し料金を負担する形になりますが、全日空では脱炭素の取り組みに力を入れる企業の利用を見込んでいます。
