November 3rd, 2024 choose and select
Choose:
Implies making a decision based on preference or personal judgment.
Often suggests a less formal process and can involve multiple criteria, including subjective ones.
Example: "I chose to stay home because I felt tired."
Select:
Implies a more deliberate or systematic choice, often with a specific criterion in mind.
Often sounds a bit more formal and may be used in structured or professional contexts.
Example: "The manager selected candidates with strong technical skills for the interview."
In short, "choose" can feel more personal or casual, while "select" feels formal or methodical. In many everyday situations, they can be used interchangeably without a big difference.
気になったので調べてみました。

今日は朝夜、2回ジムに行きました。
これを「ダブルスプリット」と呼ぶみたいです。
明日は英語の勉強に時間を費やそうと思います。
