Quarantine Diary 5/23/20

雨の土曜日、６６日目。ゆっくり起きる。

この日記を書くことで、不確かな毎日を確かめているなぁと改めて思った。読んでくださっている方、いつもありがとうございます。

朝ごはんはトーストに自作のいちごジャムをたっぷり。いちごの形が残っていて愛らしいし、甘くないからたくさん塗った。美味しい。

こんな薄曇りの日は、読書にぴったり。NYに住む子供のいない作家夫婦という設定の語り手にとても惹かれるし、他の本より読みやすい気がする。ケイトが何年もかけて書いた本をこんなにあっさり読んでしまっていいものなのかな？なんて思った。もちろん日本語で読むのの何倍も時間がかかっているわけだけど、もう３分の１読んでしまった。

おしゃべりをしたい気持ちも大きくなりつつあるけれど、今日は声がまだ形にならない。歌はずっと歌っている。

がっかりし続けると、ひとは無気力になってしまいますよね。
ひとりで理想を掲げて闘い続けるのなんて、無理無理。
でも今、じぶんの中の無気力や無関心を見つめ直してる。だってそれが積み重なった結果がこの政府だと思うのです。
仕事、生活、恋愛、親子関係、なんでも、どこまでも、じぶんと向きあったときから動きはじめると思うのです。めんどくさいし、ぜんぶ誰かや何かのせいにできたら楽だけどね〜。

Toast and homemade strawberry jam. Not too sweet.

Cloudy day like this is the best for reading. The main character who lives in NY with her husband, mainly stays at home feels so close to me. I love reading this book, but suddenly I thought, is this ok to read this quick the book took Kate for some years to finish? Well I'm not that fast reader in English, but I already had finished 1/3. 

I also want to talk and record my radio program, but today words are not forming yet. I am singing all day, though. 

Resist Apathy. I've wondering why we Japanese are not active for our own politics for long time, and recently I realized that we are so tired of being ignored and rejected and belittled. When people keep seeing failing and injustice, naturally, they stop hoping. That was what happened to us. And it creates this monster who puts their merits first before other's life. So, each of us have to fight against our own apathy and sarcasm. It starts in our own mind just like any relationship, job, career, partnership, etc. When you take your time and talk to yourself, things are changing around you. Blaming others are way easier, but doesn't help. So, let's start.
