【保存版】世界のライター・イン・レジデンス・リスト
海外のライター・イン・レジデンスに参加するのが夢で、2010年代の序盤から中盤に掛けて猛烈な勢いで調べまくっていました。
そもそも論として日本語圏には「どんなレジデンス・プログラムがあるのか」というリストさえなく、リスト作りから着手した覚えがあります。
あれから10年近く経ち、国内数カ所と台湾でレジデンスを経験したことで、情熱は薄れました。手間と時間を掛けて調べ上げたリストですが、自分一人で秘匿していても仕方がないのでお蔵出しします。
リサーチの最終更新は2016年です。
古いデータのため、募集を停止してしまったプログラムや新規で立ち上がったプログラムもあると思います。
（たとえばあのスティーヴン・キングが自宅を開放して始めたレジデンスとか……！）

The foundation that owns the Victorian at 339 N. Oak Park Ave. is searching for a writer-in-residence who will work in the home's attic, where a young Hemingway played with his siblings, telling them stories, according to the foundation's website.
The writer will get to spend a year using the attic for writing and working, but it will not be a full-time residence, said Allison Sansone, director of the Ernest Hemingway Foundation of Oak Park. It's meant only as a space where a novel, epic poem, short story or groundbreaking journalism project will be created.

Who is eligible to apply?
This is an open call to writers who are either Northern Irish of origin living in the south, or writers who are ordinarily resident in Northern Ireland. Applicants must have a proven track record and at least one book of fiction or short stories published by a recognised publisher. Experience of leading creative writing workshops is essential.
How long will the whole project last?
The project will start in January and will roll out over a 3 month-period, ideally finishing by the end of March 2020.

10 to 14 international and Korean writers and artists are nominated every year to reside at Toji Cultural Centre, a literary guesthouse located in the city of Wongju（原州市 ウォンジュシ）, Gangwon province（江原道 カンウォンド）, a two-hour drive from Seoul.

ケルアックハウスの話を書いたとき、「日本でも作家の家をレジデンス施設に出来るのではないか」と書いたが、韓国に先を越されていることが判明。
女性作家、朴景利（Park Kyung-Ri or Pak Kyong-ni) (October 28, 1926 – May 5, 2008)の住居が、"Toji Residency"というレジデンス施設になってる。

25年かけて執筆された国民的大河小説「土地(Toji)」の作者。「土地」は、李氏朝鮮王朝崩壊から、近代韓国成立までの60年間の歴史と苦難する民衆を描く一大叙事詩。
■朴景利（パク・キョンニ）の『土地』（5部作16巻）
「次は日本でも有名な朴景利（パク・キョンニ／1927〜 ）の『土地』（1969〜94）です。朴景利という女性は、金芝河のお嫁さんのお母さん、つまり義母に当たる人です。この『土地』が5部作で16巻ということは、外国人としてはとても読む勇気はなくなるような長さで、しかも中身がとても複雑です。ストーリーの軸を言いますと、満州を舞台に、崔参判（チェ・サンパン）という人の家の没落の過程と、没落していった家の女の人が復讐を目指して家を再び興すということです。第5部が最近完結し、解放を迎えるところでちょうど終わります。いわゆる歴史小説ですが、意外に恋愛の話がたくさん入っているという感じがしました」（三枝寿勝の 「韓国文学を味わう」 第 VI 章より）
「朝鮮半島から旧満州にわたる地域を舞台にして，旧韓国時代末期より日本の植民地時代末期まで一族四代にわたる人物たちの運命と苦悩の歴史を描いた大作である」
「『土地』は朝鮮王朝が傾き始めた19世紀末から日本帝国強制占領期の植民統治の桎梏にはまっていく韓国近代史を時代的な背景として、民草たちの味わう痛みと悲しみを描いている。
そして、その苦難の中でも雑草のように生き残る生命力、人間的な尊厳性を守ろうとする民衆たちの潜在力が膨れ上がり、ついに韓国が日本帝国の圧制から解放されるというあらすじだ。」（原州市ＨＰより）
日本語版は福武書店から安宇植訳で全8巻で出ている（原著は全16巻）
→現在は絶版。
→日本語版は第一部だけらしい。全部で五部まである。
インドと韓国は毎年作家の交換レジデンスプログラムを行っていて、インド側の作家はこの施設に滞在する模様。
韓国はオーストラリアやシンガポールともライター・イン・レジデンスの優遇措置を相互に締結しているらしく、日本に生まれたことが悔しくなってくる。

Erik Lindner stayed at several writer-in-residence centres, among them the Centre international de poésie
Marseille and twice the Taipei Artist Village in Taiwan. For him both spots were a garantee for rich and raw experiences. Willem Melchior had to conclude, after a stay of four weeks at ART OMI & Ledig House near New York that it was fun, but for production he'd better stay and work at home, at his own desk.
For Jeanne Holierhoek translators' houses are indispensable and a great stimulance for the hard labour of the translator. More than once she used the accommodation and excellent library of the Europäisches Übersetzer Kolloquium . Rashid Novaire finished the meeting with his residency experience at the Chinese European Art Center in Xiamen, China. There, he proclaimed, he learned what it is to go on with writing.
