n o n o k aについて/About n o n o k a

n o n o k aさんを初めて知ったのはAVYSS ENCOUNTERSで、どんなものをアウトプットしてる人なんだろうと思い、サウンドクラウドを覗きに行ってミックスを聴いたのが最初だ。唯一アップロードされていたのが「⚪︎.꙳smooth⚪︎꙳ ஂ。」で、その選曲に「17℃」の楽曲を制作してたおれはとても共感を覚えた。水性かつ、今までのハイパーポップを通った上でのサウンドで、気持ちのいい音、というのは当時のおれが目指していたところの音で、なんだか仲間をみつけたような気持ちになった。去年のAVYSS ENCOUNTERSの中でも印象に残った1人だ。

その後に彼女がawaportを運営してることも知ったし、来日したアーティストのサポートをいくつかしてることも知った。awaportのイベントは一回行ってみたい。ポストハイパーな軸のイベントなのか、それとももっと独自の空気感があるのだろうか。今度また開催してくれるとのことなので、それは是非とも行きたく思っている。

彼女のDJプレイを初めて見たのは500回目のマサカーのときで、それまではポストハイパーで水性の方、という印象だったが、思った以上にダンスビートそのものにこだわりを感じるプレイだった。「a/wa/po MASSACRE LiveMix♬」でもそうだけれど、ポストハイパーである文脈以前に踊らせるDJとしての矜持を感じる選曲やミックスをしていて、そういったダンス性が17℃に必須ものとしたので、今回おれはn o n o k aさんを誘ったのだ。アブストラクトなアーティストが多い中で、彼女のアブラストラクトなようで、コンクリートな側面が活きるイベントになればいい、と願っている。

I first heard of n o n o k a at AVYSS ENCOUNTERS and wondered what kind of things she was outputting, so I went to Soundcloud and listened to her mix. The only one that was uploaded was "⚪︎. ꙳smooth⚪︎꙳ ஂ." I was very sympathetic to that selection of music, as I was working on the music for “17°C”. The sound was aqueous and pleasant, based on the hyperpop sound of the past, which was the sound I was aiming for at the time, and I felt as if I had found a friend. She was one of the most memorable people at last year's AVYSS ENCOUNTERS.

I would like to go to one of her events. Is it a post-hyper axis event or does it have a more unique atmosphere? I heard that she is going to hold another one next time, which I would love to go to.

The first time I saw her DJ play was at the 500th MASACRRE, and until then I had the impression that she was a post-hyper, watery person, but her play was more focused on the dance beat itself than I expected. “a/wa/po MASSACRE LiveMix ♬” as well, because I felt that her music selection and mixes were made to make people dance before the context of being a post-hyper DJ, and I thought such danceability was essential for 17℃, so I invited n o n o k a this time. I hope that this event will bring out the concrete side of n o n o k a, who seems to be an abstract artist, while there are many abstract artists.
