2023年度第3回：英検１級英作文を書いてみた

英検１級英作文を書いてみました。
とりあえずといったところで、間違い（文法など）もあると思います。

お題：Should science be relied on to solve humankind's problems?

There have been heated debates and discussions on how science should be. Personally, I take the stance that science should not be relied on to solve humankindʼs problems for the following three reasons.

Firstly, reliance on the humankindʼs problem-solving leads to the bias on the distribution of research funds. If the research theme is not related to the problem-solving, the researchers will not be easy to receive funds. Given the equal opportunities for the research, reliance on problem solving is not great.

Secondly, such a reliance will build a short-sight view among researchers. Some researchers are not one-size-fits-all to accomplish; those kinds of research must be continued for years. Standing from this view, reliance on problem-solving is hard to accept.

Lastly, the real purpose of the research is to create new knowledge for humankind. That means research is not organized for solving humankindʼsʼ problems. In this way, scientists should reflect on the purposes of research and create new perspectives in real-world settings.

For the three reasons mentioned above; equal opportunities for the distribution of research funds, difficult aspects of research, and real purpose of research, I totally disagree with the opinion that science should be relied on to solve humankindʼs problems. (207 words)

基本的に反対のスタンスを取りました（本来だったら、反対でも賛成でもかける方を取ればいいが、明らかに反対の立場で、そちらの方が書きやすかったです）。
