First day in Sweden

The delayed flight was heading
from Finland to Sweden.

When I arrived, Houssam was already there to pick me up.
He and I shared a room in a hotel in Paris.

I had a short conversation with him, who lives in Uppsala, Sweden, and got to know him,
and he kindly offered me to stay at his house.

Who would have thought something so small could lead to something like this...
I am truly grateful, and it reminds me of the joy of traveling.

After welcoming me into his home,
Houssam went to work and I borrowed his bike
to explore the city of Uppsala.

It is said to be one of the largest cathedrals
in Northern Europe.

Afterwards, I went to the city centre with Houssam, who had just returned from work.

It rained on and off throughout the day,
but in the end it cleared up
and we got to see a rainbow, so that was great.

Not only did he show me around the city,
he also treated me to kebab at a restaurant.
He is a really kind person.

and they are all delicious.

Uppsala is not a very big city, but it is a nice,
calm town with a strong historical feel.

I really like this kind of town.

We returned to Houssam's house and my first day in Sweden came to an end.
And he said he'd let me stay at his house again tomorrow.
I am so grateful to him for his hospitality.

Tomorrow I'll visit the capital, Stockholm.
