Day -4_MBA Journey_Practice Critical Thinking in Daily Life
I spent half of my day to register for my visa and Emirates ID. It went smoother than I expected maybe because I visited there at early morning on weekday. However, getting injection twice, not much clear explanation one from the other department were a bit annoying to be honest.
Afterward, I spent two hours to wander and wonder around Jumeirah Beach Residence area as I love simply walking around. Then I thought to try myself to be more Critical to ask my self a question for those things come across in my eye sights that I usually don’t pay attention to or don’t care.
For example, there were number of parasols set up not by beach, but in the middle of the city at the parking lot. I don’t usually care why it’s there, but there must be a purpose as they invest money to build them there. As I realized, those parasols are there to protect a car from harsh sun and UV rays to keep temperature cool inside in Thai deadly hot weather of Middle East. Moreover, I found out that there is even a business provide Car Parking Shades with so many range of styles and materials. Questioning my premise that I tend to overlook due to my Cognitive bias allows myself to see things differently, earn new knowledges and develop my Critical Thinking.
↓Dinner tonight. As usual, but sliced carrot and potato in bigger size and boiled them with 100ml hot water for about 5 minute. But this time, I added SUGAR a little bit and it made the taste much better!
