2024 - The Year of Affluence

Yes, 2024 is a #leap #year . It’s called “# Schaltjahr ” in German and “ #閏年 Uru-u-doshi” in Japanese.
閏 consists of Chinese characters for a gate 門and a king 王.
🔎 Kadokawa’s etymological dictionary tells a story about an ancient ritual in China in which a king stays behind a gate in the leap month.
Phonetically speaking, its pronunciation “uru-u“ was borrowed from a similar looking character 潤💧💧
潤 means moist, abundant, or affluent, as when used in the adjective, 潤沢.
“The Year of Affluence” doesn’t sound bad at all, does it?
