■人間って、実はすごく変？

私たちは自分たちがどんな生き物か、よく分かってません。でもこの本は、大学の講義みたいな形式で、人間の身体的な特徴から、私たちがどれほど他の動物と違うかを教えてくれます。なぜか歩く足を減らした二足歩行スタイル、大量の言語と思想や妄想システムの獲得、超超超集団生活etcと、私たちは動物界の中で、すんごく変わった存在なんすよ。

■人間の「特別(変)さ」を再発見

体毛が無い、乳房が発達してる、といったのは私たちの特徴らしく、動物界で見るとかなりめちゃくちゃにユニーク。というか変なんだと。これらを学ぶことで、人間という生物の不思議さがより際立ち、「もっと知りたい！」が刺激されまくります。

■人間って、やっぱり変…でもすごい！

結論として、この本を読むと、人間が動物の中で一体どんな位置にいるのか、新たな視点で考えることができます。私たちは変な動物かもしれませんが、その変さが私たちを特別にしているというお話。
