【SS】ピンクの豚

僕は、ひとりの友人と一緒に道を歩いていた。
あたりに人家はなく、荒野が広がっていた。

かなり前から僕たちは空腹を感じていた。
重い足を引きずりながら食堂を探していた。

道端にはたくさんの豚の死体が捨ててあった。

それらは鼻の先から尻尾まで　
ペンキでも塗ったように鮮やかなピンク色だった。

丸々と太り、ぬいぐるみのようにも見えた。

悪い疫病でも流行っているのだろうか。
僕たちは不安そうに顔を見合わせたものだ。

もし運良く食堂が見つかったとしても　
豚肉を出されたら、きっと困るに違いない。

やがて前方に大きな川が見えてきた。

橋を渡る途中、何気なく欄干から見下ろすと　
川底にたくさんの豚の死体が沈んでいた。

はっきり見えなかったが、どれも痩せていて　
どの死体の肌も白に近い灰色に見えた。

水の中ではピンクに見えないのだろうか。
それとも、ピンクの色素が流されたのだろうか。

仲良くめまいがして、僕たちは背中を合わせ　
橋の真ん中で座り込んでしまった。

結局、僕たちは食堂を探し出せそうもない。
そんな気がする。

死ぬほど空腹なのに、少しホッとしていた。

Pink Pigs

I was walking along the way with my friend.
There were no homes around and the wilderness was spreading.

For quite a while, we felt hungry.
We were looking for restaurants while dragging heavy legs.

On the roadside, many dead bodies of pigs were thrown away.

They were brilliant pink as if painted even
from the tip of the nose to the tail.

They grew cold and looked like plush toys.

Is it a popular plague here as well?
We looked at each other uneasy.

Even if we find lucky restaurants,
we must be totally worried if pork is served.

Soon a big river began to appear.

While crawling over the bridge,
casually looking down from the balustrade,
many dead bodies of pigs were sinking
in the bottom of the river.

I could not see clearly, but none of them were thin,
and every corpse's skin looked like a gray close to white.

Does it look pink in the water?
Or perhaps the pink pigment leaked out?

In the middle of the bridge we felt dizzy,
we put our back together and sat down.

After all, we do not seem to be able to find a restaurant.
That's how it felt.

Although I was hungry to death, I was a little relieved.
