英検準一級の問題集

優美堂でビブリオバトルに参加した後、次のイベントまで時間があるので、ここでランチをいただく。

前回は富士山カレーだったから、今日はホットサンドにしよう。たまごコーン、生ハムチーズ、あんバターにも惹かれるけど、豚ひき肉の台湾風&チーズ（ちょっぴりパクチー）というメニューがあったので、それにする。迷った時は、食べたことのないエキセントリックなものを頼みがちなのです。ドリンクセットなので、ホットコーヒーもオーダー。

この、台湾風のホットサンド、美味しい！確かに、パクチーの味か効いてる。あと、何のスパイスだろう。なんだか、台湾を旅行しているみたいで楽しい。

腹を満たした後、英検の勉強。高校生の娘が英検を受験していて、面白そうだったので僕も受けてみることにした。36年前に、英検五級を受けて以来の挑戦。今回は英検準一級。

問題集を借りて、英検のお作法を学ぶ。こういう試験は、英語力はもとより、受験力が必要なのだと、TOEICを受けた時に学んだ。ヒロ前田さんという、TOEICのカリスマコーチの指導のもと、3ヶ月間のチャレンジ企画をやったことがある。この時は、英語教材の出版社アルクさんとのコラボ企画だった。生まれて初めてのTOEICで、目標の900点を大きく上回る965点を取れたのは、この時にコーチがついていたのと、一緒に勉強する仲間がいたから。あれも、面白い体験だったな。ブログを書いていたのと、面白そうなところへどんどん飛び込んでいく性格のおかげで実現した企画。

優美堂で問題集を読み終えて、家に帰ってからも続きの勉強。問題集だけでは例文と解答例が足りなかったので、もっと勉強するためにAIによる文字生成のプログラム、ChatGPTに相談した。

英検のライティング問題の要件を伝えて、問題の例文と、それに紐づく解答例をつくってもらった。何度かチューンナップして、でできた10個の問題文と解答例が以下の通り。
