モノマチ

先週末に、古くから製造／卸の集積地としての歴史をもつ台東区南部・徒蔵エリア（御徒町～蔵前～浅草橋にかけての２km四方の地域）を歩きながら、「街」と「ものづくり」の魅力に触れることができる、「モノマチ」に参加してきました。

徒蔵エリアに関わる企業および個人がネットワークを形成して、互いに相乗効果を生み出す関係を築き、『モノづくりのマチ』としての地域性、伝統を生かした街の活性化を目的としているそうで、モノづくり系企業やショップ、職人、クリエイター、飲食店などが、190を超えるワークショップや、工場見学、銭湯をめぐるツアー、限定商品の販売などなど、多彩なイベントを実施していました。

一緒に参加した、普段ものづくりに縁遠い友人は、レザーペンケース作りのワークショップに参加して、とっても満足そう…！

行列ができている店舗も多く、蔵前やおかず横丁、佐竹商店街、いろんな場所が人で賑わっていました。

その中でも今回、台東デザイナーズビレッジという施設を初めて知ったのですが、そこでの体験が楽しくて楽しくて…。

ファッション関連ビジネス分野での起業を目指すデザイナーを支援する施設として、2004年4月に旧小島小学校の校舎を活用して設立されたみたいなのですが、そこには以前から知っていた、janukaやLamieなどのアクセサリーブランドが入居されていたり、当日は販売も行っていました。

個人的にはオリジナルデザインされたアサヒシューズと、CAMERAの革製ヘアゴム、アクセサリーに使えそうな真っ白なビーズなどなど手に入れ、まだ引っ越してきて半年くらいですが、徒蔵エリアのアツさを再認識！

私も来年は何かお手伝いできるといいな。

I took part in "MONOMACHI" last weekend. This event can touch the charm of attraction of "town" and “Design and Manufactuing” while walking along the southern part of Taito-ku and Kurakuchi area, which has a long history as a manufacturing and wholesale collection area.

This event aimed at companies and individuals involved in the Kuranami area form a network, and build relationships that create synergies with each other and revitalization of the city that made good use of regionality, tradition as "Design and Manufactuing town" .

Manufacturing companies, shops, craftsmen, creators, restaurants, etc., held various events such as more than 190 workshops, factory tours, tours about public baths, sale of limited items, and so on.

Friends who have participated together, far from everyday manufacturing, participated in a workshop for making leather pen cases, it looks very satisfying...!

There were many stores where the queue was made, and Kuramae and Okazu Yokocho, Satake shopping street, various places were crowded with people.Among them, I knew the facility called "Taito Designer's Village" for the first time this time, but as a facility supporting designers aiming for entrepreneurship in the fashion related business field,

Established in April 2004 utilizing the school building of the former "Kojima elementary school".There was an atelier of accessory brands such as "januka" and "Lamie" that I knew from before, and I also sold that day.Personally I bought Asahi shoes that were originally designed, "CAMERA"s leather hair rubber, pure white beads that could be used for accessories.It has been around for half a year since I moved, but I reconfirmed the attractiveness of the Kurakuchi area. I want to help something next year.
