A list of translations I did as part of Tree's trilingual coronavirus-themed flash fiction project, Day to Day.  

"Until That Day Comes" by Izumi Sunohara || A BL story about ER doctors finding a moment to relax despite the pandemic.

"WFH Jealousy" by Mizumi Takaoka || A BL story about how even yakuza work from home. 

"From Amabie With Love" by Shinobu Gotō || A BL story featuring the iconic sea monster...and a shrimp. 

"1/40" by Mikoto Mashita || I liked this story so much I picked up her Mephisto Prize-winning debut, #柚莉愛とかくれんぼ .

"The Borderless Boys and Girls Club" by Takuji Ichikawa || Speculative fiction about kids with the power to rescue a broken world. I previously translated his novella The Refugees' Daughter.

"A Hopeful Song" by Norio Enomoto || A band on the verge of breaking up records during the pandemic.

[Untitled] by Ichi Sawamura || A horror story about the societal pressure to be normal, do your part, and not drop the ball.

”Poko" by Eto Mori || A bittersweet story about a boy and his dog.
