デザインと倫理の関係 IDEO(2015). The little book of design research ethics.

The little book of design research ethics（IDEO）読んだレポートの草案です。以下は文章の方向性を取り違えているとして没にしましたが、せっかくなのでここに残しておきます。まとまってないセンテンスもありますが、ご容赦ください。

はじめに

倫理を学び理解することはとても有益です。本質的な美しさを知ることで、醜悪なものを避けることができます。

倫理を学ぶ

倫理の3原則は、デザインと倫理が密接な関係にあることを証明しています。ユーザーの行動や感情を理解することが、クリエイションを美しくします。デザイナーは美しいものを作るのが得意ですが、その一方で、倫理を学んだクリエイターが少ないという矛盾もあります。

The issue is that designers don't have the time and the resources, the training to deal with that dimension of thinking, as philosophers do. Philosophers don't have the training and the handicraft to shape their thoughts in a way that other people understand them. Ironically, this is something that designers are good at. If there were a way to connect philosophy and design better, I think both would profit.

ユーザーの感情を考える

インタビューのプロセスは、ユーザーとの強い関係を築ける重要なフェーズです。インタビューから得られる情報は代えがたいものです。

What you glean from interviews can inform user personas, user journeys, and ultimately the product design. Interviews may provide insights you never expected, uncover hidden challenges, or motivate the team to add features that previously were not imagined or included.

インタビューの参加者が安心して自由に過ごせる環境を作ることは大切です。

Although it will be a little more work, I would recommend visiting your audience in their place of work or at their home. I can tell you from personal experience; this kind of interview is transformative.

中立性とバイアス

情報を分析するフェーズではバイアスを避けます。バイアスは結論を誤った方向に導く危険性があります。

...even the best written questions can be susceptible to biases that can creep into your results and affect the quality of your responses and conclusions.

最後に

倫理は真の美しさとは何かを伝えます。表面ではなく、構造に注意と敬意を持って行動することが必要です。
