If that is the case, why don't you start by looking towards the light and brightening your heart, instead of being preoccupied with the shadow? When times are tough, you don't have to force yourself to cheer up. Even taking a rest, doing something you love and relaxing your mind can help it heal. And if you can't handle it alone, you can always turn to someone else. Someone's kind words and warm encouragement will surely be a light to you. You are never alone. I am a former nurse who overcame such a tough battle with the disease and achieved a complete remission, and what I chose to do to enjoy life again was to travel to Tokyo and Kansai during my winter vacation.
