Situation in Ukraine
It has been 853 days since Russia invaded Kyiv.
First,
a general matter.
According to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces,
Russian losses were 1,180 soldiers
4 tanks
18 armored fighting vehicles
35 artillery pieces
31 drones
1 cruise missile
64 other vehicles.
In addition to this,
as we reported in a preliminary report in a previous video,
120 drones,
including the Shahed 136 and its improved versions,
were destroyed and drone instructors and technical staff were called to hell as a result of drone attacks on the Eisk airfield on the 21st.
There were 116 reported ground attacks in one day across the entire front.
And the ratio of the number of losses of Ukrainian equipment to Russian losses,
which can be visually confirmed,
is 1 to 3.1 compared to the number of losses on the Ukrainian side.
Losses on the Russian side are mostly civilian vans and infantry fighting vehicles; conversely,
pickups are prominent on the Ukrainian side.
Now,
here is the war situation in each region.
We will focus on the areas where the war situation has changed.
You can follow the changes with the date if you use the full screen view on the big screen.
Northeast,
toward Harkiv
This report focuses on the situation in the Halkiu area,
where Russian troops crossed the border on May 10 and launched a military invasion.
The weather in Harkiv is cloudy.
The minimum temperature is 16 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature is 26 degrees Celsius.
Thunderstorms are forecast for today.
The main Russian forces in this area have begun to withdraw as the Russian offensive has become bogged down,
and the attack is now being carried out with a force to dispose of the lost battle.
The Russians are short of manpower and supply lines are inadequate,
but since the importance of this sector has diminished,
no reinforcements have been sent and it is no longer possible to advance.
The Russians also claim to have dropped 23 glide bombs at Liptsi and 3 tons of glide bombs at Vovtyansk.
However,
since the video shows that no craters were created and no buildings were significantly destroyed,
it has been analyzed that the FAB 3000 is actually only a catalog specification and is actually only half or one-third as powerful as the FAB 3000.
Vovtyansk area.
There is no change in the battle map in this direction,
but the Russian attack was stopped by Ukrainian forces,
and northeast of the town there is information that Ukrainian forces repelled Russian forces with artillery fire and drones inside Russian-occupied territory.
What you are seeing is the location shown on the map,
where Ukrainian troops are circling the buildings to check for Russian troops.
The Russian troops were approaching,
but were repelled by the Ukrainian drone.
There is no change in the battle map.
Northeast: toward Luhansk Oblast
Eastern part,
toward ChasivYar
The following is an update on the situation in the area from Kupyansk to ChasivYar.
In this area,
the Russians made 9 attacks in Kupyansk,
9 attacks on the Svatovekremina line,
2 attacks around Sibersk,
no significant ground battles reported around ChasivYar,
and 7 attacks around Mayorsk.
Kupyansk sector
It is estimated that there are 72,000 Russian troops in this sector,
half of which are deployed to the front lines for combat.
Russian troops have been sent from Zaporizha and Rostov to keep pace with operations in this direction.
According to the positional video,
Ukrainian forces appear to have launched an attack in the direction of Pershottrabneve and advanced into the border forest indicated on the map.
The Russians responded by firing incendiary and thermobaric bombs into the area.
The image you are seeing is from the Russian side and shows the area shown on the map.
We have updated the battle map from the Russian occupied area to the disputed area.
Svatovye-Kreminna line
According to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces,
ground fighting continues in the vicinity of Stelmahyuka,
west of Svatove,
and according to video with location information,
Russian infantry units have attacked and advanced between Miazozharivka and Andrivka,
south of it.
The Ukrainian army is using drones to destroy the positions where the Russian troops are,
one by one.
What you are seeing is the 44th Mechanized Brigade of the Ukrainian Army and the location shown on the map.
We have updated the battle map to show this area as partially occupied by Russian troops from disputed territory.
The area is about 2.1 square kilometers.
Around Sibersk
The Russian offensive in this area was unsuccessful,
but on the contrary,
the Ukrainian army launched a counterattack near the railroad south of Vimka and recaptured some positions on the east side of the main road from the positions of Russian artillery fire.
The image you are seeing is from the Russian Army's 123rd Motorized Rifle Brigade and shows the location indicated on the map.
The battle map has been updated to show a smaller area occupied by the Russians and partially retaken by the Ukrainians.
ChasivYar Area
The Russians are launching an infantry offensive to capture ChasivYar,
but are struggling against Ukrainian resistance,
which has stalled more than expected in the outposts of Kalinivka and Kanal.
In Canal,
the Russians have been firing thermobaric bombs southwest of the town to check Ukrainian troop movements and control the frontier,
but the Ukrainians are using drones to find and attack Russian soldiers,
and the offensive is going back and forth.
The battle map remains unchanged.
Around Mayorsk
The Russians are preparing to launch a new offensive against Pivnitine,
which has recently been the target of a new offensive by the Russians.
The Russians attacked an electric substation in the area,
cutting off the power supply,
and launched attacks along the railroad tracks and from the eastern outskirts,
which were repulsed by the Ukrainian army,
leaving the battle map unchanged.
On the other hand,
unconfirmed reports indicate that the Russians advanced with an attack on the northwestern outskirts of Mayorsk,
and the battle map has been updated to include this area as an extension of the disputed territory.
Other Russian military attacks have been unsuccessful,
and the situation has been one step forward and backward,
with some areas being pushed back by Ukrainian forces.
Southeast Donetsk Oblast.
This is an update on the war situation in the direction of Avdiivka,
Marinka and Velikanovosilka.
Weather in Avdiivka is sunny.
Lowest temperature is 16 degrees Celsius,
highest temperature is 30 degrees Celsius.
Today's weather forecast is cloudy.
The weather will be sunny for a while,
with occasional heavy showers.
Avdiivka area
The situation in this area is becoming increasingly tense as the Russian military has launched 46 attacks in various directions.
According to a Russian military blogger,
the Russians have prepared a large number of assault troops in this area,
and soldiers who are not liked by their commanders or who are wounded are kept in chicken coop-like pits,
as shown in the photo,
fed,
and given no toilet facilities. In the event of an attack,
the soldiers are taken out of the cage in the necessary numbers and forced to charge.
1st.
In Novo Oleksandrivka,
a Russian attack was confirmed south of the pond,
and the Ukrainian army responded with artillery fire.
What you are seeing is the Ukrainian army,
with Russian soldiers advancing on foot to the area indicated on the map.
We have updated the battle map to show the area as partially occupied by Russian forces from the disputed territory,
and moved the position of the defense line slightly to the west as shown in the video.
2nd.
In Sokir,
Russian forces have projected thermobaric bombs for surface control at the location indicated on the map to check the movement of Ukrainian forces and will most likely attack in this direction in the near future.
In addition,
based on this attack position and multiple pieces of information,
we have updated the battle map as the Russians have occupied up to the ring position north of Sokir,
as we reported in yesterday's video.
As for the rest,
the Russian attack was defended by the Ukrainian army and the Russian army did not achieve any results.
Marinka area
In this sector,
the Russians conducted an unspecified number of attacks,
but without success for the Russians.
Conversely,
the Ukrainian military reportedly attacked a Russian convoy south of Marinka,
neutralizing five tanks,
an infantry fighting vehicle,
and nine soldiers.
What you are seeing is the 33rd Mechanized Brigade of the Ukrainian Army and the location shown on the map.
The location is 3.5 kilometers from the front line,
and the battle map remains unchanged,
although the attackers reportedly used anti-tank missiles,
artillery fire,
and drones.
Verkhanovosyrka sector
In this area,
the Russians conducted four attacks on Urozhyn and Staromaiorsk,
and Urozhyn was hit by 50 unguided rocket attacks,
as seen by Su-25s,
but there was no information that would affect the battle map.
As you can see from the video,
the Russians were bombing very close.
Backward Areas
During the tourist season in Crimea,
many Russians cancelled their trips and the coast of Sevastopol was suddenly deserted after a Russian air defense missile flew over the area without sounding an air defense alarm,
killing and injuring tourists,
according to reports.
Russian tourists had come to the Crimea to go swimming,
believing the authorities' explanations that the tourist sites in Sevastopol,
Feodosiya,
and the Crimea were safe and far from military installations.
South,
Zaporizhia Oblast
South,
Province of Kherson
There were no changes to the battle map in this area.

1st.
The insurgency by Islamic forces is growing in the Republic of Dagestan.
According to the latest article seen by the submitter,
the militants' activities have expanded to include attacks on two Orthodox churches,
a Jewish church,
a police station,
and government offices in the surrounding districts,
with over 20 Russian police officers and six civilians reportedly already involved and killed.
Six militants are also reported to have been killed,
and this number is expected to increase.
This includes the well-known fighter Gadzhim Radkagirov,
who may face increased animosity toward the Russian authorities in the future.
According to the Institute for the Study of War,
the incident may have been carried out by the Vilayat Caucasus,
a subgroup of the Islamic State in the North Caucasus,
and another Islamic State subgroup has issued a statement praising the insurgency,
saying that "our brothers in the Caucasus have demonstrated their capabilities."
Alexander Baunov,
a Russia expert,
former diplomat,
and Carnegie Endowment for International Peace fellow,
said,
"The Prigozhin insurgency,
the terrorist attack on the Moscow complex,
the revolt at Makhachkala Airport that resulted in mass casualties,
and now another insurgency in Dagestan.
This was seen before and after the collapse of the former Soviet Union,
and Russia is in a vicious cycle of losing control of the country," he said.
He added,
"When security collapses in some areas,
it becomes impossible to maintain security in other areas.
The people who are suffering have the power,
and right now it is related to a specific religion,
but if this spreads,
it could lead to the collapse of the entire nation.
2nd.
Related to the first news item,
President Putin's whereabouts are currently unknown.
President Putin tends to disappear when there is a domestic uprising,
as he did with the riots in Dagestan last October and the terrorist attack in Crockus.
Social networking sites are calling it "cowardly" for a head of state to disappear during a national crisis.
3rd.
A fire broke out at the Platan Research Institute in Hryzhano,
near Moscow,
which designs electronic components for the defense industry.
The cause of the fire is unknown,
but the fire has spread throughout the building,
and there are fears that the roof and all the floors may come loose and the entire building may collapse,
making rescue and firefighting impossible.
In addition,
there were employees stranded in various parts of the building surrounded by smoke and many people calling for help through windows,
which gradually disappeared. Some reportedly jumped from windows on the 8th floor in an attempt to escape the fire.
That's all for today.
