The situation in Ukraine
It has now been 894 days since Russia invaded Kyiv.
First of all,
let's look at the general situation.
According to the latest announcement from the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces,
the Russian military losses are as follows:
1,180 soldiers
6 tanks
31 armored fighting vehicles
69 artillery guns
24 drones
71 other vehicles
There were 102 reports of ground battles in a single day across the entire front line.
And the ratio of the number of losses of Ukrainian military equipment that can be visually confirmed to the number of losses of Russian military equipment is 1 to 1.4,
meaning that the number of losses on the Russian side is 1.4 times that of the Ukrainian side.
The Russian side's losses include a large number of infantry fighting vehicles,
armored fighting vehicles,
civilian vans,
military trucks and communication facilities,
and it can be predicted that frontal assaults by infantry are becoming more active.
On the other hand,
the Ukrainian side has a large number of infantry fighting vehicles,
artillery,
tanks,
communication facilities and pickups,
and it can be seen that they are deploying ground forces to stop the advance of the Russian army.
Now,
let's take a look at the situation in each region.
We will focus on areas where the situation is changing.
You can follow these changes along with the dates by displaying the full screen on a large screen.
Northeast: The Harkiv Area
We will now report on the situation in the Harkiv area,
where the Russian military crossed the border and launched a military invasion in May.
The Russian army in this area launched three attacks at Hlyboke,
Vovtyansk and Tike.
Hlyboke area
At the end of July,
according to the video with location information,
the Russian army attacked the position on the road from Lypytsi to the border and cut off this line of communication.
The Ukrainian army fought back with drones and artillery,
but they were unable to dislodge the Russian army.
The video you are watching was filmed by the Russian side,
and shows the situation at the location indicated on the map.
This location was recaptured by the Ukrainian army in June,
but the battle map has been updated to show that some of it has been reoccupied by the Russian army.
Vovtyansk area
There is a possibility that the Russian military will try to bolster this area and reactivate it.
According to the video with location information,
the Russian military is attacking Ukrainian military positions on a large scale with airstrikes,
multiple rocket launchers,
artillery,
and drones,
and is keeping the Ukrainian military in check.
However,
since the aggregate plant is not a target of attack,
it is presumed that the Russian military are present at the aggregate plant.
There have been no changes to the battle map,
but it is highly likely that the Russian military will launch a ground attack in the future,
so caution is required.
Northeast: Luhansk Oblast
East: ChasivYar
We will now report on the situation in the area from Kupyansk to ChasivYar.
In this area,
the Russian army launched 14 attacks in the Kupyansk area,
at least 3 attacks on the Svatove-Kreminna line,
7 attacks in the area around Siversk,
8 attacks in the area around ChasivYar,
and 16 attacks in the direction of Tretyuk.
Svatove-Kreminna line
In Makhiivka,
where the Russian army advanced yesterday,
the Ukrainian army repelled the Russian attack on this day,
and there was no change in the battle map.
ChasivYar area
In this area,
it is possible that the Russian army has broken through the canal.
1st
At Zoftnevi,
which is a forward outpost of ChasivYar,
the Russian army crossed the canal on both the north and south sides of the town and established their first positions on the west side of the canal.
1
In the forest to the north of Zotnevi,
combining the video with location information and multiple sources of information,
it is thought that the Russian army crossed the canal to the west and built up a position,
using this as a foothold to attack the Zotnevi invasion route.
The battle map has been updated to show that the Russian army has occupied part of the disputed area.
Second
The Russian army has also crossed the canal at the railway line just to the south and is attacking the Ukrainian army positions shown on the map.
What you are looking at is the 98th Airborne Brigade of the Russian army,
and it shows the Ukrainian army positions shown on the map.
The battle map has been updated to show that the Russian army has occupied the section of the railway behind them.
Third
According to multiple sources,
the Russian army has advanced to the south of Zoftnevi,
across the canal,
and is attempting to establish a foothold there.
The battle map has been updated to reflect the Russian army's advance to the canal.
The battle for ChasivYar is reaching a critical point.
The future will depend on the Russian army's troop strength,
but if they deploy troops in this area,
they may be able to break through at ChasivYar,
but this will mean a reduction in troops in the other areas of Tretyak and Avdiivka.
Tretyak area
In this area,
the Russian army has advanced in the Pivnichne and Artemove areas,
also known as Zaryzhne.
1st
In Pivnichne,
according to the video with location information,
the Russian army advanced.
The Russian army carried out an ambush attack at the location of Shiklna Street shown on the map,
and destroyed the Humvee that happened to be approaching,
so it is thought that the Russian army has penetrated this far and that this location is controlled by the Russian army.
What you are looking at is a video shot by the Russian side,
and shows the situation at the location shown on the map.
We have updated the battle map to show that the Russian army has partially occupied this area from the Ukrainian army's territory.
The area is about 2.5 square kilometers.
Second
In the Artemove district,
the Russian army is advancing on foot towards the substation,
and the Ukrainian army is eliminating them with ground troops and drones.
What you are looking at is a Ukrainian military situation report,
and it shows a single Russian soldier resting on the ground in the location indicated on the map.
Meanwhile,
to the east of the substation,
a vehicle that appears to be a Ukrainian M113 infantry fighting vehicle has been destroyed by a Russian drone,
confirming that this location is the front line.
The battle map has been updated to show the expansion of the disputed territory.
Meanwhile,
in New York,
the Ukrainian army repelled the Russian army's attack,
and there was no information that affected the battle map.
South-East Donetsk Oblast
We will now report on the situation in the area from Avdiivka to Kravhov-Bremivka.
The weather in Avdiivka,
which is affecting the operation,
is thunderstorm
with a minimum temperature of 18 degrees and a maximum temperature of 31 degrees
Today's weather is also forecast to be thunderstorm.
Avdiivka
In this area,
the Russian army is gathering up soldiers and deploying them in an offensive operation.
According to the Ukrainian military's General Staff,
in this area the Russian army has launched 70 attacks,
and 246 Russian soldiers have been neutralized.
As there is not much information available on this area on the battle map,
we will report on it based on unconfirmed information.
No.1
In Ivanyivka,
where we mentioned in yesterday's video that there was a possibility that the Russian army had advanced,
we can see from the map that the Ukrainian army's armored vehicles have been abandoned at the location shown,
and that this location is not under Ukrainian control.
Until now,
the Ukrainian army has been able to repel Russian attacks by deploying armored vehicles,
but recently the Russians have deployed anti-tank missile units in the rear,
and it is possible that this has made their previous methods of fighting more difficult.
The battle map has been updated to show that the Russians have occupied the south of Ivanyivka.
Second
The fiercest ground battle is taking place near Zelenne.
According to multiple sources,
the Russian army,
which advanced along the railway line,
attacked both Serhiivka and Zelenne,
and it appears that they have advanced in both places.
We have updated the battle map to show the areas that the Russian army has occupied from the disputed territory.
In particular,
at Zelenne,
the Russian army is trying to advance by bypassing the western suburbs,
avoiding the city center,
and there is a possibility that they are trying to surround the Ukrainian army,
so caution is required.
Third
In the two ring positions to the east of Zeleny,
the Russian army has closed the gap between the Ukrainian army's artillery positions and the smaller ring positions,
and has broken through the larger ring positions and is advancing in the direction of Mezove.
The battle map has been updated to reflect the fact that the Russian army has occupied this area.
Krakhov-Bremivka Area
In this area,
the Russian army launched five attacks in the Krakhov area and three in the Bremivka area.
In the Kravkov area,
the Russian army launched an aggressive attack,
but the Ukrainian army defended and the Russian army was unable to make any gains.
In the Bremivka area,
the Russian army also launched an offensive north of Urozhain,
but they were repelled by Ukrainian artillery and were unable to advance.
Rear Area
1st
A fire has broken out in occupied Luhansk,
and it is said that a machine factory that repairs and stores Russian military equipment is on fire.
The local government has made a strangely detailed announcement that it was an attack using 8 ATACMS and 4 Storm Shadow missiles.
Second
There was also an explosion in Makayivka,
Donetsk,
but the details are unknown.
Third
There is a large fire at an oil storage facility in Rostov.
The Russian authorities have announced that scrap tires are burning,
but in the video,
it is possible to see that an oil facility is burning,
and it is possible that this is an attack by the Ukrainian military.
Fourth
In Buryatia,
near Lake Baikal,
three dams have burst in the last ten days,
causing serious flooding.
The third dam to burst,
the Khonkhoroy Dam,
is particularly large,
and the authorities are calling for evacuations,
as the water is flowing downstream and there is a possibility that it will reach densely populated areas.
Southern Zaporizhzhya Oblast
Southern province of Kherson
The Russian army has launched an unspecified number of attacks in this area,
and it is possible that they have advanced in Verbove.
According to the video with location information,
the Russian army attacked the Ukrainian army position shown on the map on foot,
and it was found that this location is the front line.
What you are looking at is from the Russian side,
and shows the location indicated on the map.
The Russian attack failed,
but the battle map has been updated to show this location as a contested area,
having been retaken by the Ukrainian army.
We will provide you with a selection of news items related to the situation in Ukraine.
You can also use the YouTube chapter function to watch the parts you are interested in.
1
The Ukrainian military unveiled the F16 and held a ceremony,
but the weapons on it are attracting attention.
First of all,
the cockpit is coated with gold,
which has the effect of reducing radar reflection.
In addition,
you can see the AIM9 Sidewinder,
which is a short-range air-to-air missile,
the AIM120,
which is a medium- to long-range air-to-air missile,
and an external fuel tank,
but in between these you can see the latest container called ECIPSCJS.
This was jointly developed by a Danish and Italian company,
and it integrates an electronic warfare device and a 360-degree missile warning system,
and it is also possible to attach armaments underneath it.
As it was still under development in 2021,
it is the latest equipment.
Meanwhile,
the New York Times reported that 10 F-16s would be deployed by the end of the year,
but The Economist reported that 10 had already arrived and that 20 would be operational by the end of the year.
Second
In a previous video,
we reported that a Chechen military commander had said that Russia would be defeated in six months,
but this time,
Chechen leader Kadirov appeared on Russian state television and said,
"The war in Ukraine will end this year."
Kadyrov said that "victory this year is ours 100%",
but he did not clarify what he meant by victory.
The article goes on to analyze the situation,
saying "judging from the situation on the front line,
the Russian army has no conditions for victory on the front line,
and the Kremlin may declare victory based on the results at the end of the war.
Russia is currently working on creating public opinion and making preparations."
Third
Yesterday,
we reported that a Russian military submarine had been sunk by the Ukrainian military,
but at the same time,
it was also revealed that the Russian military had likely lost the ability to repair submarines in the Black Sea.
According to the article,
there are currently four Russian submarines in the Black Sea and Sea of Azov,
but because Turkey has banned the passage of warships due to the war in Ukraine,
the only place where they can be repaired is in Sevastopol.
The Sevastopol Marine Factory was attacked by the Ukrainian military,
and Russia is unable to repair its submarines.
The article concludes that the loss of these four submarines is irreversible and a matter of time.
Fourth
The spokesperson for the Ukrainian Navy,
Hryhoriy Predentuk,
announced that "there are two airbases in Crimea that do not have any aircraft".
The spokesman said,
"There are five military airfields in Crimea: Saki,
Belbek,
Jankoy,
Kacha,
and Khvardske,
but two of them do not have any aircraft,"
and he pointed out that it is possible that they have stopped functioning as airfields due to the repeated attacks by the Ukrainian military,
saying,
"Aircraft need fuel and supplies."
That's all for today.
