Situation in Ukraine
It has been 852 days since Russia invaded Kyiv.
First of all,
general matters.
According to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces,
Russian losses were 1,300 soldiers
12 tanks
15 armored fighting vehicles
51 guns
27 drones
2 cruise missiles
76 other vehicles.
The entire front reported 133 ground battles in a single day.
And the ratio of the number of Ukrainian equipment losses to Russian losses,
which can be visually confirmed,
is 1 to 1.5 compared to the number of losses on the Ukrainian side.
Losses on the Russian side are dominated by civilian vans,
while on the Ukrainian side,
pickups stand out.
Now,
let me tell you about the war situation in each region.
We will focus on the areas where the war situation has changed.
You can follow the changes with the date if you use the full screen on the big screen.
Northeast,
Harkiv area
This section reports on the situation in the Halkiu area,
where Russian troops crossed the border on May 10 and launched a military invasion.
The weather in Harkiv was thunderstorms.
The minimum temperature is 18 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature is 30 degrees Celsius.
Today's weather forecast is for showers.
The withdrawal of Russian troops is underway in this area.
According to Ukrainian military spokesmen Voloshin and Povhov,
the 11th Tank Regiment,
83rd Airborne Brigade,
and 25th Motorized Rifle Brigade of the Russian Armed Forces have suffered heavy losses,
are unable to fight,
and are trying to withdraw from the front lines.
Vovtyansk Area
The Russians launched two attacks in this sector,
which were repulsed by Ukrainian forces.
The Russians are also attempting to halt the Ukrainian advance with thermobaric bombs and drones in areas where Ukrainian forces have recently advanced.
Russian forces also launched a night infantry assault on Ukrainian positions east of the city,
which was repulsed by Ukrainian drones.
In addition,
the Russians attacked the Feldman Eco Park in Harkiv with a glider bomb,
which reportedly killed a deer in a scare.
The battle map remains unchanged.
Northeast: Luhansk Oblast
Eastern part,
toward ChasivYar
The following is an update on the situation in the area from Kupyansk to ChasivYar.
In this area,
the Russians attacked 15 times in Kupyansk,
8 times along the Svatbekremina line,
10 times around Sibersk,
4 times around ChasivYar,
and 15 times around Mayorsk.
Around Sibersk
In Rozdrivka,
the Russian military continued to attack on this day.
According to video footage with location information,
the Russian 106th Airborne Division engaged Ukrainian forces in a positional battle at the location shown on the map,
but Russian forces won the battle and killed Ukrainian soldiers who surrendered,
then entered the settlement and claimed the occupation by raising a flag southeast of the settlement shown on the map.
The battle map was updated to show the area occupied by the Russians from the disputed territory.
ChasivYar sector
In this sector,
Russian forces are attacking Canal,
but Ukrainian forces are blocking their advance with artillery fire and drones.
The Russians attacked with smoke bombs and thermobaric bombs,
but the Ukrainian defense held firm and the Russians were unable to advance.
There were also reports that the Russians tried to enter the city center through a sewage pipe,
as in the past in Avdiivka,
but this was detected by the Ukrainian military using thermal imaging from a drone,
preventing them from entering the city.
Around Mayorsk
Four ground battles continue in this area.
There is still no visually verifiable information,
but multiple sources combined indicate that Russian forces have taken over the entire settlement of Shumy,
occupying the first few to about 10 houses northeast of Pivnichne.
If you pull back the map a bit,
you can see that the houses stretch from Pivnichne to Toretsk,
and the Russians are attacking with the vigor of a frontal assault to take over the town of Toretsk.
Shumy has updated the battle map with a red marker indicating Russian-occupied territory.
Southeast Donetsk Oblast.
The following is an update on the war situation in the areas of Avdiivka,
Marinka,
and Velikanovosilka.
Avdiivka area
In this sector,
the Russian army has launched 44 attacks in various directions,
further increasing the intensity of the ground war.
Of these,
32 attacks have been repulsed by Ukrainian forces,
while 12 attacks continue.
1st.
In Novo Oleksandrivka,
where intense ground fighting continues,
positioned video footage indicates that Russian forces have advanced,
occupied all of the settlements,
and reached the main defensive line of the Ukrainian army.
The Deep State account expressed a sense of urgency,
and Russian military bloggers followed suit.
It is possible that the Ukrainian military is embellishing their story to convey a sense of urgency,
but we have also updated our battle map to show that the Russian military has taken over that area from the disputed territory.
Second.
In Sokir,
where we reported unconfirmed information in yesterday's video that Russian troops may have advanced,
additional unconfirmed information indicates that Russian troops have advanced and occupied about half of the settlement.
In a slightly more distant,
positional video,
there is footage of Ukrainian Bradley infantry fighting vehicles firing on the main defensive line north of Evhenivka,
presumably for promotional purposes,
showing Ukrainian troops defending their positions.
The one you are seeing is of the 47th Mechanized Brigade of the Ukrainian Army,
and you can also see the main defensive line at the location indicated on the map.
We will let you know again when we have more information to confirm this one.
Other than that,
the Russian offensive has been unsuccessful,
and there are no changes to the battle map at this time.
Marinka area
Russian forces have made 15 attacks in this sector,
11 of which have been repulsed by Ukrainian forces,
and 4 of which are still being fought on the ground.
1st.
In Krasnohorivka,
north of Marinka,
Ukrainian military drones are attacking Russian troops at the location shown on the map,
which indicates that Russian troops may have begun to infiltrate this area.
What you are seeing is a frame from the Ukrainian military's battle report,
which shows the building across from the church at the location indicated on the map.
There are no changes to the battle map at this time.
Second.
Northwest of Sorodke,
we have updated the battle map to show the area occupied by Russian forces from the disputed territory,
based on multiple reports that the Russians have advanced in the past day or two.
The area is about 10 square kilometers.
In the vicinity of Volodymyrivka to the south,
the battle map has been updated to include the area of the disputed territory as expanded,
as there is a possibility that Russian troops are advancing little by little with infantry not covered by mines,
although this area was a dense minefield of the Ukrainian army.
Verkhanovosylka sector
There are reports of attacks by both sides in this area,
but no information affecting the battle map.
BBBB
Rear areas
1st.
According to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces,
Ukrainian troops successfully attacked the Russian command and control center in Nehotayevka,
Belgorod Oblast.
This is located about 15 km from the border,
and since the attack was carried out by the air force,
it is highly likely that JDAM was used.
In the video,
the Russian command center can be seen surrounded by a large plume of smoke after a secondary explosion.
2nd.
In Sevastopol and Evpatoria,
Crimea,
the Crimean Bridge was closed to traffic after an attack by Ukrainian forces.
Of these,
in Evpatoria,
the space communications center of the Russian Aerospace Forces was hit by multiple large fires.
The attack is said to be ATACMS or a drone,
but video footage shows the entire area engulfed in flames.
There was also an ATACMS attack in Sevastopol during the daytime,
which was successful.
However,
a Russian air defense missile attempting to shoot it down veered off course and landed on the beach in Sevastopol,
causing a catastrophe that,
according to Russian information,
killed four people and injured 151 others.
The Russian side initially claimed that a Ukrainian ATACMS had targeted civilians,
but the explosion was clearly different from that of the ATACMS,
and the Russian side later admitted that it was caused by a Russian air defense missile.
Southern Zaporizhia Province
South,
province of Kherson.
There was no information that changed the battle map in this area.
This is a brief report with selected news about the situation in Ukraine.
You can also use YouTube's chapter feature to watch where you need to.
1st.
There are reports that unidentified individuals have attacked a series of Russian Orthodox and Jewish Holy Church churches in the two towns of Makhachkala and Derpent,
the capital of the Republic of Dagestan in southern Russia,
and have taken 40 people hostage in Makhachkala and are holed up there.
There are reports that nine people are already dead,
seven of whom have been shot by security forces.
The Republic of Dagestan has frequently been the scene of break-ins and other incidents by anti-Israeli forces.
Last week,
six Islamist prisoners escaped from Rostov and took a guard hostage.
However,
President Putin has stated that Islamists will not attack Russia,
so reports linking the incident to Islamists are self-imposed.
Also,
many viewers may remember that when there was a previous ISIS attack on the Crocus Complex Center in Moscow,
Russia rubbed President Putin and others in the Ukraine's sins,
and this time,
as soon as possible,
Russian State Duma member Gadzhiev said on state television,
"Behind this incident,
the Ukrainian and NATO intelligence agencies are behind this incident," he accused.
Second.
news of the delivery of ammunition to Ukraine.
First,
the Financial Times reported that an anonymous expert said that $855 million worth of Serbian ammunition had arrived in Ukraine.
Incidentally,
Serbia,
part of the former Yugoslavia,
has a policy of military neutrality,
has been bombed by NATO during the Kosovo conflict,
and has not participated in Western sanctions against Russia,
but current President Vucic calls Ukraine a friendly country and says Crimea and Donbass are Ukraine's own lands.
Separately,
Czech Defense Minister Chernokhova informed that Ukraine will receive the first round of Czech-initiated purchases of artillery shells from third countries at the end of June.
Appearing on CNN television in the Czech Republic,
the minister said,
"I cannot disclose detailed information,
but promises made to cooperating countries have been kept."
The host of the program asked if the shells had mold on them,
to which Defense Minister Chernukhova responded,
"I don't deny it,
but if you wipe it off,
you can remove the mold.
That's all for today.
