Universal Basic Income

Hello guys. I watched a video about universal basic income from In a nutshell on Youtube. I grasped the concept of it and there is no honest answer to it. I will share what I learned from that video.

 I want more money without demanding and boring if possible when I hear about the existence of universal basic income, which intrigued me with knowing more about it. 

 As I have gone through the video, unfortunately, I realized that universal basic income cannot be provided to people easily due to some problems around that. People have different opinions about universal basic income so they give each definition to it. There is a lot of discussion being conducted in many places but we do not have a clear and honest answer for it.

Let me explain what universal basic income is. It means that the government gives people money every month or so. They could use the money for their grocery shopping or commodities. As a result, this political strategy makes people's life easy, decreasing their anxiety about their life in terms of financial problems. However, one anxiety comes up this time, which is how universal basic income affects people in the working class.

 Here is an experimentation about how universal basic income affects the business market. Some people guess that people would stop working if they get a basic income that can compensate for their life but the answer is not true. Some people stop working but others continue working. Also, most people who stop working use their extra time to take care of their children. Some said that working has an important role in giving them meaning in their life, which satisfies people in some ways.

 What's more, some people think that there are a lot of people spending money on drugs or alcohol when they get universal basic income but a study shows the opposite result that the richer people tend to get obsessed with drugs, not the poor people, which is the bias that people have. 

In this way, we, current people are getting more familiar with universal basic income but we have a lot of ambiguous views about it. So, we need to conduct more big-scale experiments to dig deeper into this issue and our understanding of it.
