"Love"- Jetniphat Rachatachalermroj / THE PROFESSIONAL FC
INTRODUCTION
"I love coaching players and love teaching them the game."
My name is Jetniphat Rachatachalermroj, people call me "Mai". Currently I am full-time instructor with FA Thailand and also working as Youth Academy Director of PT Prachuap FC, which is in T1 league (*Top division of Thailand).
I was just a boy who loved football when I was little. I got chances to start playing with my brother and his friends. It was a real challenge when you are very young and playing football with kind of senior players. But I enjoyed it and that was how I started the journey to my football dream.
In reality, I didn't like playing football in Thailand as I always watch European football. It was more exciting to dream and play like European players.
I only played for local team, my school and university. Then I decided to go to England, seeking out chance to play in Europe.
I had a trial with Millwall FC, it was second or third team. The manager liked me, but unfortunately, I was already 22 by that time and required to be international player in order to have work permit, which I wasn't.
Chance looked dim and there was no opportunity to play football in England. Instead I decided to go for the FA level 2 coaching course.
I’d watched many matches there and I was looking at many managers who were coaching their players during the game. That behavior inspired me and realized me what I love. I love coaching players and love teaching them the game.
After the completion of Level 2 over six months, I went to Brazil between 2008-2009 for almost two months to continue for next coaching licenses. I was looking at other countries, but it was the only option where they could provide me English translator at that time.
I took B License at Association of Trainers in Sao Paolo and Brazilian FA’s International coaching course, which the main instructor was Carlos Alberto Pereira, who is Brazilian and World Cup champion head coach in 1994.
Now I'm looking back and think I learned a lot from Brazilian philosophy. They like the player to understand and work hard on two aspects such as tactical understanding and Physicality.
They want to train their players to understand the tactics and focus on it intensively. As well as that, they physically train the player, which must be specific and really tough in every training session to make sure that the players are prepared to perform. I think they had a very good department working on physicality for all level of players.
DESIRE
"Now we need good infrastructure, good instructor, good curriculum, good and pure philosophy of Thai football."
