ジョージア州選出の共和党下院のグリーン議員は、ハリケーン・ヘレンで地元が被害を受けた後、SNSに投稿した。
「奴らは天気をコントロールできる。そんなことできないと言うのはばかな嘘つきだ」

「奴ら」とは誰なのか、その質問に彼女は答えていないそうだ。根拠なしの、投げっぱなしの投稿である。
これは、移民が犬や猫を食べるという発言の根拠を問われて、「テレビで見た」、としか答えないトランプ氏と同じ愚かしさだ。このような病は共和党の人たち（いまやトランプ一味というべきか）に蔓延しているのだろう。
映画X-メンに登場する、天候をあやつる超能力をもつストーム（本名オロロ・マンロー）を思い出した。こんな超能力者たちが世界中にいるというのか？
この議員の過去の言動もめちゃくちゃである。
グリーン氏は、ドナルド・トランプ前大統領が民主党が運営する悪魔崇拝の小児性愛者集団と秘密裏に戦っているとする陰謀論、Qアノンを支持してきた。
彼女はまた、2018年のフェイスブック投稿で、カリフォルニアの山火事は、当時のジェリー・ブラウン知事、投資会社ロスチャイルド・アンド・カンパニーなどが高速鉄道建設計画のために企てた宇宙太陽光発電機から発射されたレーザーによって引き起こされた可能性があると示唆した。ロスチャイルド家は反ユダヤ主義の陰謀説の標的になることがよくある。グリーン氏はまた、マージョリー・ストーンマン・ダグラス高校銃乱射事件とサンディフック高校銃乱射事件を「偽旗作戦」による計画的な事件と呼んでいる。
この議員に投票した有権者は、彼女の与太話を面白がって聞いているのだろうか？

もっとも、嵐というと、１９７０年代に石原慎太郎などの自由民主党所属の３１人が、血判状に各自の血で捺印して、青嵐会を結成した。さすがに、こんなヤバい人たちは現れないと思いたい。
２２世紀の歴史家は、２１世紀のアメリカの共和党の様子を振り返って、呆れかえるだろうか？

She did not answer the question of who "they" are. It was a baseless, off-the-cuff post.
This is the same stupidity as when Trump, when asked for the basis for his statement that immigrants eat dogs and cats, simply replied, "I saw it on TV." This kind of disease seems to be spreading among Republicans (who should now be called Trump's gang).
It reminded me of Storm (real name Ororo Munroe), a character from the X-Men movies who has the psychic power to control the weather. Are there really people with psychic powers like her all over the world?
According to this article, the lawmaker's past actions and words are also a mess.
Do the voters who voted for this lawmaker find her nonsense amusing?
For now, let's hope that there will be no Japanese Diet members who say strange things like, "They control the weather," or "I'm the man who brings about a storm" (Ishihara Yujiro perhaps?).
Speaking of storms, though, in the 1970s, 31 members of the Liberal Democratic Party, including Ishihara Shintaro, stamped a blood oath with their own blood and formed the Seirankai. I hope that such crazy people will never appear.
Will historians of the 22nd century be astonished when they look back on the state of the Republican Party in the United States in the 21st century?
