『あの病気』の感染拡大の前と後の私の生活 ：その１９ 1月６日に関東地方で雪が降りました
１月６日、関東地方で雪が降りました。
私はこの日、在宅勤務していて、通勤電車に乗らなくてすみました。
私の周りでは、出勤予定を、在宅勤務に代えた人もいたようです。
数十年前までは、雪が降ろうが地震で電車が止まろうが、朝９時に出勤しろという上司がいて辟易したものです。
前の記事に書いた、イルカ族の人たちです。
１６日にもそういう人たちがいたと思いますが、絶滅してほしいものです。
もちろん、仕事のため、あるいは授業のために外に行かざるを得なかった人たちも大勢いたでしょう。道路も凍って滑りやすかったので、歩くのも車の運転も大変だったと思います。
こんな日に停電したらエアコンも使えません。しかし、東京電力の停電履歴サイトによると、この日に２件、その翌日にも７件、停電している場所がありました。
原因は、「弊社設備のトラブル」または「調査中」だそうです。
私の住んでいるところでも１２月のある日、在宅勤務をしていたら、お昼過ぎに停電しました。
エレベーターも水道も止まってしまいました。結局、１時間半も停電していました。
被害範囲は、１７００軒だったそうですが、これはマンションも建物として１軒と数えていると思います。
これの原因は、「弊社設備のトラブル」だそうです。たった９文字でした。さすがに独占企業です。
みずほ銀行のトラブル報告書が、まだましに見えます。
停電履歴サイトによると、ほぼ毎日どこかで停電事故を起こしているので、対策などの詳細を書く暇がないのかもしれません。
一方また、１月６日の電力消費量はかなり増えていました。
東京電力の需給情報サイトで見ていると、この日の１６時台の需給率が９８％でした。
何とかそこで踏みとどまったのでよかったのですが、結構ピンチだったのではないかと思います。
他の電力会社から融通してもらってしのいだようです。
私はシステム関連の仕事をやってきましたが、メモリやディスクの稼働率が１００％に近づくのは、相当危ない状況です。
東京電力の担当者はヒヤヒヤしていたのではないでしょうか。

However, according to the power outage history site of TEPCO, there were 2 cases on this day and 7 cases on the following day, where there was a power outage. The cause is described as "trouble with our equipment" or "under investigation".
Even where I live, one day in December, when I was working from home, there was a power outage after noon. Both the elevator and the water supply stopped. After all, there was a power outage for an hour and a half. It is written that the damage range is 1700 houses, but I think that this counts one apartment as one house. The cause of this is only described as "trouble with our equipment". As expected, it is a monopoly company. Mizuho Bank's trouble report still looks better. According to the power outage history site, there is a power outage accident somewhere almost every day, so they may not have time to write details such as countermeasures.
On the other hand, the electricity consumption on January 6th has increased considerably. Looking at the supply and demand information site of TEPCO, the supply and demand rate at 16:00 on that day was 98%. Fortunately, the supply-demand ratio managed to stay there, but I think it was quite a pinch. TEPCO survived by getting power from other power companies.
I had been doing system-related work, but it's a pretty dangerous situation when memory and disk utilization approaches 100%. I think the person in charge at TEPCO was thrilled.
