夏休みの朝のラジオ体操
私が小学生だったころ、夏休みの朝6時半は、ラジオ体操をすることになっていた。
近所に、そこそこ広い空き地があり、近所の小学生や母親たちが朝、ラジオ体操のために集まって来るのだった。
集落ごとに、小学校６年生の中から一人、班長を決めることになっていた。班長の仕事の一つは、朝、集団登校のときに、黄色い旗を持って先導することだった。
そして、夏休みのラジオ体操のとき、班長の仕事が二つあった。
一つは、集団の前に立って、ラジオ体操のお手本を示すことだった。
ただし、鏡に映った姿のように、左右の動きを逆にすることを求められた。
夏休みに入る前に、班長達は集められて、左右が逆のラジオ体操を練習させられた。
もう一つの仕事は、ラジオ体操が終わったら、各自のスタンプ帳に押印することだった。スタンプ帳は、乳業会社のものだったような気がする。
家々への牛乳配達が行われていた時代である。
ラジオと印鑑は班長が用意することになっていた。
その頃はまだ、シャチハタ印鑑は存在せず、タイトル写真のような、「回転印」を親に買ってもらった。
そういった費用の負担については、だれも考慮しない時代だった。
この記事によると、ラジオ体操の「効果は科学的に検証されている」そうだ。大学を卒業してからずっと、ラジオ体操をしたことがないので、その点はよくわからない。
今住んでいるところでは、朝６時半に小学生が集まってラジオ体操をしている気配はない。
ただ、朝８時頃、ラジオ体操の歌が聞こえてくる。たぶん、近所で工事をしているので、作業する人たちのために流しているのだろう。

Radio calisthenics in the morning of summer vacation
When I was an elementary school student, we were supposed to do radio calisthenics at 6:30 in the morning during summer vacation.
There was a fairly large vacant lot in the neighborhood, and elementary school students and mothers in the neighborhood would gather in the morning for radio calisthenics.
Each village was supposed to choose one group leader from among the 6th grade elementary school students. One of the group leader's duties was to lead the group to school in the morning with a yellow flag.
And during the summer vacation radio gymnastics, there were two jobs for the group leader.
One was to stand in front of the group and show an example of radio calisthenics. However, they were asked to reverse their left and right movements, like their reflection in a mirror. Before summer vacation started, the team leaders were gathered and made to practice radio calisthenics with the left and right sides reversed.
Another job was to put a stamp on each person's stamp book after radio exercises. I think the stamp book was made by a dairy company. It was a time when milk was delivered to houses. It was a rule that the radio and seal should be prepared by the group leader.
At that time, Shachihata seals didn't exist yet, so I had my mother buy me a "Rotating stamp" like the one in the title photo.
There was a time when no one thought about bearing such costs.
According to this article, "the effects of radio calisthenics have been scientifically verified." I haven't done radio exercises since graduating from university, so I'm not sure about that.
Where I live now, there is no sign of elementary school students gathering at 6:30 in the morning and doing radio calisthenics.
However, around 8:00 in the morning, I can hear the song of radio gymnastics. Perhaps there is construction going on in the neighborhood, so the water is flowing for the people who work there.
